AEW’s plans for the 2025 Continental Classic have now been confirmed during tonight’s Dynamite.
A late year tradition since 2023, the Continental Classic has become an anticipated event for AEW fans and this year is no different, however, the company had yet to make an announcement regarding their plans for this year’s tournament.
That was until tonight’s AEW Dynamite in Boston however, as it was confirmed on commentary that this year’s Continental Classic will be kicking off next Wednesday at AEW Thanksgiving Eve (November 26).
While the round robin tournament itself was announced, the contestants in it have yet to be confirmed, with the past two year’s tournaments seeing 12 wrestlers take part.
Barring any changes, the reigning AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada should gain automatic entry into the tournament as he looks to win back-to-back Continental Classic’s.
Unlike 2024, inaugural AEW C2 winner Eddie Kingston is also fit and able to compete and potentially regain his crown after missing last year’s tournament with injury.
We will provide updates on AEW’s plans for the Continental Classic as more announcements are made.
