7 Surprises At WWE WrestleMania 41

Here are seven potential surprises that could happen at WWE WrestleMania 41.

7. Paul Heyman Betrays Roman Reigns

While Paul Heyman remains the ‘Wiseman’ to Roman Reigns, it seems as though the partnership is more precarious than ever.

With the likely explosive three-way match between Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and CM Punk at WrestleMania 41, there are plenty of directions all three men could go in.

In the event Paul Heyman turns against Roman Reigns – particularly to re-join forces with CM Punk – it could quickly launch the pair into their next huge feud.

Alternatively, Paul Heyman could also betray his friend CM Punk to cement his loyalty to the Tribal Chief, also leading to a feud and one-on-one match between Reigns and Punk.

6. Hardy Boyz Return

If it is written enough times, maybe it will really come true.

Judging by the direction on SmackDown, it seems that we could be set for a multi-team WrestleMania match for the WWE Tag Team Championship – with the Street Profits defending against several teams.

The announcement of such a match could leave the door open for a surprise team to enter as well, and team could be Matt and Jeff Hardy.

With recent TNA and NXT crossovers having already included appearances by the legendary former WWE stars and rumors of main roster plans some time soon, we could potentially see a replay of their WrestleMania 33 return eight years later.

5. Aleister Black Returns

Whether he goes by Malakai Black or goes back to his WWE name of Aleister Black, the Dutchman could finally make his return at WrestleMania 41.

WrestleManias in the past has proven to be a major launching pad for returns and Black’s hotly anticipated comeback would be an incredible moment.

There have been teaser videos airing on SmackDown for4 the past couple of weeks hinting at his return, so it seems like it’s just a matter of time at this point.

It remains to be seen exactly when he’ll be back, but WrestleMania could be the perfect place.

4. Alexa Bliss Reveals She’s Been In The Wyatt Sicks All Along

WWE Wyatt Sicks faction and Alexa Bliss

While Alexa Bliss has had two matches since her return at the 2025 Royal Rumble – to qualify for the Elimination Chamber and then the Chamber match itself to be exact – none have involved direct crossover with the Wyatt Sicks faction.

However, the signature Wyatts static has struck during backstage segments with Bliss, including last month on SmackDown while she was talking to Nia Jax.

Bliss may find a way to get a match on the card at Mania, potentially suggesting a match-up with Jax leading to a bigger reveal on the night.

Not only could Alexa Bliss join the Wyatt Sicks at WrestleMania 41, but she may be revealed to have been affiliated with them all along.

3. Bella Twins Challenge For WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

WWE's Bella Twins

There is currently not a match set for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship to be defended at WrestleMania 41.

However, with plenty of teams that could be viable contenders already in WWE, there would be a great opportunity for a multi-team match.

Everyone loves a surprise return at WrestleMania and after WWE fans gave a warm reception to Nikki Bella at the 2025 Royal Rumble, Brie Bella might not be far behind.

There have been hints that the duo could be back together in WWE soon, and WrestleMania 41 would be a very fun return for the women’s division pioneers.

2. Dominik Mysterio Wins The Intercontinental Championship

There still isn’t a confirmed match on the WWE WrestleMania 41 card for Bron Breakker to defend the Intercontinental Championship.

While rumors suggest a multi-man match headed towards Breakker, the exact combination of talent has yet to be officially announced, but is reportedly planned to be Breakker vs Penta vs Dominik Mysterio vs Finn Balor.

If so, Dominik Mysterio could go ahead and just win the Intercontinental Championship in Las Vegas at WrestleMania 41.

With a variety of ways that this match could go totally sideways due to interferences, it actually isn’t as wild as it might sound.

1. Stone Cold Steve Austin Joins The Rock & John Cena

While the ‘most obvious’ role for Stone Cold Steve Austin would be to join the side of righteousness with Cody Rhodes – perhaps he would go in the opposite direction.

An OG of the corporate sell-out storyline, Stone Cold is no stranger to donning a suit under the guise of playing nice with the powers at be.

Channeling his WrestleMania X-Seven heel turn where he aligned with Vince McMahon, Stone Cold could help Cena and The Rock commit an iconic screw job on Cody Rhodes.

It would be far more heartwarming to see the ‘Texas Rattlesnake’ return and instead align with Rhodes, but if John Cena can turn heel, anyone can.
