WWE Tag Teams Splitting Up Soon

While partnerships come and go in WWE, there could be several teams poised to split in the coming months.

From known break-ups on the horizon to others that could come as more of a surprise, there are quite a few intriguing potential splits on this list.

Here are five more WWE tag teams that could be splitting up soon.

5. Legado del Fantasma

While the group hasn’t officially disbanded, it seems that the pairing of the tag team Angel & Berto along with Santos Escobar has run its course.

After a wild week of contract news earlier this month, Escobar ended up re-signing after departing WWE for a very brief free agency.

Reports have noted that Escobar is likely to ditch Angel & Berto — who will remain on WWE SmackDown — instead returning to action on WWE Raw.

Potentially sporting a new look and character, Santos Escobar is definitely someone to watch in 2026.

4. AJ Styles & Dragon Lee

It is highly likely that while the pairing of AJ Styles and Dragon Lee are going to be a good time in WWE, they may not last a long time.

The ideal way for Judgment Day duo of Finn Balor & JD McDonagh to drop the WWE World Tag Team Championship — it seems unlikely Styles & Lee will continue as a team for long.

Possibly poised to have an intriguing match against the NXT Tag Team Champions Matt & Jeff Hardy at some point in the near future, there is also another team already looking for a shot.

The dastardly New Day are intent on recapturing their titles, a feud that would also be an incredible one ahead of the eventual disbandment.

3. The Culling

On NXT, The Culling is a faction consisting of Niko Vance, Izzi Dame, Tatum Paxley and their leader, Shawn Spears.

While the stable has been a great launching pad for Izzi Dame and by extension, Tatum Paxley, it could be that the cunning and conniving Dame is poised to take over.

Definitely able to branch out to build her own faction around she and Paxley — particularly if Pax is able to capture her first NXT Women’s Championship at Halloween Havoc — the group might not survive long past the spooky event.

Potentially setting up Spears creating a new faction, the split could also support the return of Brooks Jensen. While largely appearing on WWE Evolve lately after being ousted from The Culling by Izzi Dame, he has recently taken to social media seemingly with a new character chock full historical knowledge on professional wrestling.

2. Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez

While the pair were united after Liv Morgan was taken out of action due to injury, it seems that perhaps Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez’s days as a team are numbered.

With Perez seemingly intent on her own singles ambitions in lieu of trying again at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship — Raquel Rodriguez could be looking to go her own way as well.

With reports noting that Liv Morgan is planned to return to WWE as a babyface, it could be that a reunion of the former champs Morgan & Rodriguez could come thereafter.

Having been a babyface in the past, Raquel Rodriguez could potentially become even more of a threat if she was going after the heels on the roster.

1. New Day & Grayson Waller

While their partnership has been incredibly amusing, it seems possible that the trio of the New Day and their new pal Grayson Waller will split apart soon.

Potentially leading to a Grayson Waller babyface run, it could be Waller’s former A-Town Down Under partner Austin Theory who arrives as a heel to further add insult to injury from the New Day’s betrayal.

While the Theory and Waller tag team teased a split for months, it would end up that their partnership was ended quickly in a backstage segment.

With Waller revealing to the New Day that Theory was injured and he was dumping him as a partner, Theory could come back and seek revenge on Waller to ignite their long simmering rivalry.
