Heading into WrestleMania 42, WWE could present the split of several different tag teams throughout the premium live event.

From brothers going their separate ways, to longtime pairings having memorable splits, these tag teams could create some WrestleMania moments and different avenues coming out of the show by finally breaking up on “The Grandest Stage of Them All.”

Here are six WWE tag teams to potentially split up at WrestleMania 42.

6. The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso)

To end 2025, The Usos reunited to finally become World Tag Team Champions for the first time since 2023.

Now sitting atop of the Raw tag team division, Jimmy and Jey Uso are riding high in a major way.

While they are back as a pairing, Jimmy Uso expressed his desire to see his brother Jey get back into the main event picture.

If WWE wants Jey to continue his run as a singles act, WrestleMania 42 could see The Usos drop the World Tag Team Titles and go their separate ways once and for all.

5. The Judgment Day (Finn Balor & JD McDonagh)

On the February 16 edition of WWE Raw, Finn Balor brought back The Judgment Day by his side with Dominik Mysterio and the returning JD McDonagh coming out to confront World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk.

Stopping his Judgment Day stablemates from going after Punk, it is easy to see that the words of “The Best In The World” has gotten in the head of Balor, who now wants to reclaim the title on his own.

Not wanting the help of The Judgment Day, Balor has had more pride and listened to Punk, who believes the stable is holding back who Finn really is.

A loss to Punk at WWE Elimination Chamber 2026 could lead to McDonagh turning on Balor with the rest of The Judgment Day to finally excommunicate the former Universal Champion and could happen at WrestleMania 42 this April.

4. Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins)

The Street Profits have been missing from SmackDown since failing to dethrone The Wyatt Sicks for the WWE Tag Team Championships on October 10.

Known as one of the most decorated and popular tag teams in WWE today, The Street Profits should be a featured act in the tag team division.

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins recently returned to WWE live events, but they have yet to appear on the company’s programming as of yet.

After years of teases, it feels like the right time for Ford and Dawkins to go their separate ways and that may happen with a proper breakup at WrestleMania 42.

3. Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane)

At WWE Royal Rumble 2026, Kairi Sane accidentally eliminated Asuka from the Women’s Royal Rumble Match.

While “The Empress of Tomorrow” looked pissed and grabbed Sane by the hair to the backstage area, WWE has not followed up on this tension on TV over the past few weeks.

On the February 16 edition of WWE Raw, Asuka defeated Bayley and Nattie to qualify for the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match.

If Asuka comes short inside the Elimination Chamber, Asuka could become an even more domineering mentor for the Kabuki Warriors, leading to Kairi finally standing up for herself against her at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

2. Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss

Another pairing that saw an inadvertent elimination at WWE Royal Rumble 2026 is Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.

During the Women’s Royal Rumble, Flair accidentally eliminated Bliss from the bout and has expressed her regret since then.

While they seem back on the same page, it looks like both Flair and Bliss will compete against one another at WWE Elimination Chamber 2026 in the titular bout.

If one or the other comes out the winner, fans could see Bliss or Flair turn on each other to cost their tag team partner the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 42.

1. RHIYO (Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY)

Another tag team that could find themselves at odds either before or at WrestleMania 42 is RHIYO.

To start 2026, RHIYO became the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions and have been riding high as a duo.

While they make for a very popular tag team, Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY are two of the best and most popular female stars on the WWE roster today.

RHIYO finally splitting at WrestleMania 42 could come as a result of losing their titles and WWE wanting these two women to go their separate ways to highlight them as solo acts once again.
