Every Debut At WWE SummerSlam 2025

WWE SummerSlam 2025 takes place in New Jersey this weekend at MetLife Stadium on August 2 and 3!

With 12 matches in total across both nights, there’s also a chance we see some debuts take place at the event.

Here are seven potential debuts for WWE SummerSlam 2025.

7. Tony D’Angelo

An NXT star that is seemingly headed for the main roster and could debut at WWE SummerSlam is Tony D’Angelo.

Other than being NXT Champion, D’Angelo has accomplished everything possible in NXT since debuting in 2021.

On July 29, NXT went off the air with a callback to the series finale of The Sopranos with Tony D’Angelo shown sitting at his favorite dining spot alone until he was approached by someone, looked up and the show went off the air.

That segment could signify a move to the main roster, with one possibility seeing him brought in as an ally of Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman.

6. Kylie Rae

After picking up the win of the inaugural WWE ID Women’s Championship, it would make sense to see indie darling Kylie Rae at SummerSlam 2025.

Beating Zayda Steel and Zara Zakher to capture the victory, Kylie Rae has reason to celebrate her title win this weekend.

While she may not see any in-ring action at the event, it would still be reasonable to see WWE introduce the winners of the newest WWE titles.

Also of note, the inaugural men’s WWE ID Champion was also crowed after a showdown between tag team partners saw Cappuccino Jones defeat Jack Cartwheel.

5. Zilla Fatu

On both Saturday and Sunday of the first-ever two night WWE SummerSlam, there are big Bloodline matches.

With Roman Reigns teaming with Jey Uso to take on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed on Saturday, there is also a showdown in a steel cage on Sunday.

Jacob Fatu will look to take back the United States Championship from Solo Sikoa at the event in a bout that could definitely lead to some familiar familial interference.

Potentially able to debut and align with either party, Zilla Fatu – the son of Umaga – could make his WWE debut appearance.

4. Lance Anoa’i

Similar to Talla Tonga, Lance Anoa’i signed to WWE last year, but has yet to debut on either the main roster or NXT.

Anoa’i did notably have a few appearances in WWE in the past, including on-screen with Roman Reigns which could potentially come back around now.

With Reigns partnering with Jey Uso in order to fend off the faction led by Paul Heyman in Seth Rollins’ absence – he might be looking for some additional backup to even the odds.

While fans have enjoyed seeing the OG Bloodline reunion between Jey & Roman, it could make sense to fold in some new members.

3. Matt & Jeff Hardy

WWE legends Matt & Jeff Hardy

Although currently contracted with WWE partner promotion TNA Wrestling, there could be an easy segue for Matt & Jeff Hardy to make an appearance at SummerSlam.

In an homage to the legendary first official TLC match at SummerSlam 2000 that featured the Hardy Boyz taking on Edge & Christian as well as the Dudley Boyz, SummerSlam 2025 will also feature a TLC match.

The match which is set to feature the Wyatt Sicks defend their WWE Tag Team Championship against DIY, Fraxiom, the Street Profits, the Motor City Machine Guns and Andrade & Rey Fenix could possibly summon a return from the Hardys.

The Hardys would potentially be able to fill in if a last minute change is needed or even just to make a run-in.

2. Zaria

WWE star Zaria

With the WWE Women’s World Championship picture featuring a potential tipping point for Rhea Ripley to turn heel, perhaps she could bring in an ally.

Cue Zaria, a fellow Aussie with a deep penchant for violence who is a current star on NXT.

Potentially making her debut to play into a heel turn for Rhea Ripley, Zaria could be just the backup Ripley needs to re-activate her formerly vindicative and brutal side.

With both women having been primarily presented in a babyface light – and definitely losing some of the brutality of their characters as of late – perhaps the pair could make magic together.

1. Ethan Page

Ethan Page has been on a remarkable run since arriving in NXT from AEW last year.

Page has already been both NXT Champion and NXT North American Champion, recently bringing in his own Canadian belt for the latter and retaining it against Santino Marella.

The CW Network is also reportedly very impressed with Page’s media duties, and he seems like a perfect fit for the main roster.

There are plenty of potential openings for Page to become involved at WWE SummerSlam, including aligning with Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed, or playing into his histories with Cody Rhodes or CM Punk.
