With WWE SummerSlam 2025 fast approaching this weekend, there is a good chance that some brand new stars could debut.

From NXT stars ready for their main roster moment to former AEW stars that are finally free from the bench, there could be a few fun surprises in store for the big event.

Here are six potential debuts at WWE SummerSlam 2025.

6. Ricky Saints

Ricky Saints has made a big impact in NXT since joining WWE back in February.

Already capturing the NXT North American Championship in his short time on the brand, it has seemed since his debut that Saints wouldn’t be long for the Performance Center.

Potentially waiting for the right storyline to launch him on the main roster, Saints could find himself in the right place for such a move at this weekend’s WWE SummerSlam PLE.

Seemingly a good fit in a couple of different places on the show – including aligning with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, potentially working with and/or against Cody Rhodes, or even popping up to foil CM Punk – Saints could make a major impact this weekend.

5. Danhausen

After recently posting a photo on social media featuring different styles of makeup in a throwback to his former versions, it could be that Danhausen is testing out his new WWE look.

Reportedly set to become a free agent ahead of SummerSlam 2025, Danhausen could make a surprise appearance and immediately delight fans with his antics.

While unlikely to fit the tone of his pal CM Punk’s bout against GUNTHER for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Danhausen could find himself popping up for any number of other surprises.

Potentially being recruited by Jelly Roll to specifically curse Logan Paul, hopefully WWE fans get the opportunity to meet the ‘Very Nice, Very Evil’ star in the near future.

4. Tony D’Angelo

Another NXT star that is seemingly headed for the main roster is Tony D’Angelo.

With NXT going off the air on July 29 with a callback to the series finale of The Sopranos, Tony D’Angelo was shown sitting alone until he was approached by someone that he looked up to when the show ended.

While the ending was fitting for his mobster character in NXT, it could also signal that he is headed for something entirely different.

Potentially bringing up D’Angelo to join forces with Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, D’Angelo could be making his main roster debut at SummerSlam 2025.

3. Matt & Jeff Hardy

Although less of a debut and more of a return, The Hardy Boyz (Matt & Jeff Hardy) would have the perfect reason to return to WWE.

Since they have history with specifically Nathan Frazer and Axiom, it could be that there is a way for Matt and Jeff Hardy to get themselves into the WWE Tag Team Championship TLC match.

With the Tables, Ladders & Chairs match set to pay homage to the legendary first official TLC match at SummerSlam 2000, perhaps there is a way to see the Hardys enter this match at SummerSlam 2025.

It has been reported that when their current TNA Wrestling contracts expire in November 2025, Matt & Jeff Hardy could find themselves re-signing with WWE, but they could still show up before that thansk to the company’s partnership with TNA.

2. Rikishi

WWE legend Rikishi

While the appearance is far from a debut, it would be the first time that Rikishi has made an on-screen appearance for WWE in quite some time.

After having been vocal about the direction of the various Bloodline storylines – including weighing in on matters regarding Jey Uso, Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu vs. Solo Sikoa – there could be a few opportunities for the legend to appear.

Potentially best suited to link up with Solo Sikoa and the rest of the MFTs to become their new Paul Heyman – Rikishi could prove to be a pivot point in the SmackDown storyline.

While the Roman Reigns-led edition of the Bloodline saga continues to a degree, the introduction of the veteran Hall of Famer could provide more depth to Solo Sikoa’s arc.

1. Lance Anoa’i

With the Bloodline saga in WWE showing no signs of slowing down – rather having split into two different storylines – one family member who has yet to debut but is signed to WWE is Lance Anoa’i.

If Lance Anoa’i were to make his debut at SummerSlam 2025 in support of Jacob Fatu, the numbers could even out relatively quickly.

Add-in the potential ally of the still out of action Tama Tonga, the trio stands more prepared than ever to go up against Solo Sikoa and the rest of the MFTs.

If WWE wanted to truly even the numbers out and set up a vicious four on four battle for the future, they could also tap Zilla Fatu for a debut in the company.
