On the March 13 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Randy Orton turned heel and betrayed Cody Rhodes with a brutal and bloody attack.
This heel turn led to Orton getting on a phone call during his interview on the March 16 Monday Night Raw that could indicate someone else joining his side.
Looking at the current WWE roster, there could be a variety of talent that might turn heel just like Orton to join forces with “The Legend Killer.”
Here are seven WWE stars to potentially turn heel and join Randy Orton.
7. Ilja Dragunov
Over the past few weeks, Ilja Dragunov has been having a crisis of confidence that has seen him doubting himself.
While Carmelo Hayes wants a rematch for the United States Championship, “The Mad Dragon” has denied his request and stated that he is not ready as of yet.
Needing someone to help him rediscover his spark, Randy Orton could come in to try to remind Dragunov exactly who he is.
Orton getting in Dragunov’s head could be an intriguing story to tell as the former United States Champion accepts the dark side and guidance of “The Legend Killer” to get back to the gold again.
6. Carmelo Hayes
On the December 26 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Carmelo Hayes defeated Ilja Dragunov to win the WWE United States Championship.
Ever since this win, Hayes has proven himself as a fighting champion by continuing the US Title open challenge that has crafted his legacy with the title.
Despite his popularity growing, Hayes wants to be at the top of WWE and might need an added push from someone of the stature of Randy Orton to get there.
Orton poisoning the mind of Melo and guiding him to a heel turn could become something interesting for fans to watch unfold on SmackDown moving forward.
5. Charlotte Flair
After playing a heel for most of her career, Charlotte Flair turned babyface through her friendship and partnership with Alexa Bliss.
While she is still one of the biggest female stars on the WWE roster today, it has been a while since Flair was in the world title picture.
To get back into the main event mix again, Flair could follow in the footsteps of another multi-time champion and generational star like Randy Orton.
Orton creating a new Legacy with someone as big of a star as Charlotte Flair would make for a dominant faction that these two help guide younger second generation stars to the promised land.

4. Alexa Bliss
Speaking of Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss has played an important role in exposing a different, softer side of “The Queen.”
Through their friendship, Bliss and Flair have shown their on-screen chemistry in a variety of ways whether it be in the ring or outside of it.
Despite being one of the most popular female stars in WWE today, Bliss could still be a huge heel character for the women’s division in the near future.
Considering their history during his feud with Bray Wyatt, Orton could manipulate Bliss to turn heel and betray Flair to join forces with him.
3. The Wyatt Sicks (Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan, Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis & Joe Gacy)
The Wyatt Sicks have been embroiled in a long-term feud with The MFTs over the past few months.
Whether it be trading the WWE Tag Team Championships or getting their lantern stolen, the battles between The Wyatt Sicks and The MFTs have been featured on the Friday Night SmackDown brand on a consistent basis.
While Uncle Howdy has served as the leader of the faction, there is another former Wyatt Family member who could come in to guide this group if he chooses to.
Despite betraying Bray all those years ago, Orton’s heel turn could see him play off his history with Uncle Howdy’s brother to infiltrate and turn The Wyatt Sicks heel on SmackDown.

2. Je’Von Evans
Back in 2024, Je’Von Evans had one of the biggest matches of his career when he faced Randy Orton on an episode of WWE NXT in St. Louis, Missouri.
“The Young OG” has since gotten called up to the WWE main roster and signed with the Monday Night Raw brand.
Behind the scenes, Evans has become a new protégé to Orton with “The Legend Killer” giving some guidance to the 21 year old star.
While he is a rising babyface on the roster, Evans could turn heel and follow in the footsteps of his real life mentor to join forces with Orton moving forward.
1. Sami Zayn
Fans have watched as Sami Zayn becomes more and more frustrated with his current position in WWE following his loss to Drew McIntyre at Royal Rumble 2026.
Over the past month or more, Zayn has interacted with Cody Rhodes in intense confrontations backstage that has seen the two friends at odds with one another.
It was also Sami who stated that he was rooting for Randy Orton to win the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 42.
Zayn turning heel to join forces with Orton would make a lot of sense and pay off all the tension that has been on display with him and Rhodes on SmackDown in recent weeks.
