At WWE Royal Rumble 2026, GUNTHER defeated AJ Styles to retire “The Phenomenal One” from in-ring competition.
Now on the February 23 edition of WWE Raw, Styles will receive a tribute from the company and the stars on the roster, which could include an announcement of AJ being inducted into the Hall of Fame.
If Styles is set to enter WWE’s hallowed halls, it would make sense that someone inside, or even outside the company will be asked to induct him during the ceremony this April.
Here are seven WWE stars to potentially induct AJ Styles into the Hall of Fame.
7. Xavier Woods

AJ Styles has known several members of the WWE roster for over two decades, dating back to his days in TNA Wrestling and on the independent scene.
One of the stars he met during his time in TNA and someone that he has traveled with on the road in WWE is Xavier Woods.
Woods is a close friend of Styles with both men being Georgia natives and have a strong connection from hanging out, playing video games on the UpUpDownDown YouTube channel.
With all the stories that he has from spending time with “The Phenomenal One,” Woods is someone who would make a lot of sense to induct Styles into the WWE Hall of Fame 2026.

6. R-Truth

Another former peer of AJ Styles during his time in TNA Wrestling is R-Truth.
During the early days of TNA Wrestling, Styles and Truth were among the first NWA World Heavyweight Champions during the company’s first few years.
Truth and Styles have spent plenty of time together in WWE as well and would be someone who knows him very well.
With their history and past from TNA to WWE, Truth is someone that feels like he could give a sentimental speech to honor Styles and his contributions.

5. Finn Balor

When AJ Styles made his way to New Japan Pro Wrestling, he took the torch as leader of the Bullet Club from Prince Devitt.
The former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion made his way to WWE and became Finn Balor, making a name for himself on NXT and then on the main roster.
During their time together in WWE, Balor and Styles have crossed paths several times, going at it in some intense battles inside the squared circle and sharing the “Too Sweet” sign on a few occasions.
With all of their connections from Bullet Club to WWE, Balor could step in to induct Styles with an emotional speech knowing the importance he has had on his career.

4. The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows)

AJ Styles walked into WWE and immediately became a top star in short order, but he did not come alone.
Shortly behind “The Phenomenal One,” his Bullet Club stablemates Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows were not too far behind.
Joining forces to create The OC, Styles, Gallows and Anderson remain the best of friends and still talk to this day.
Having The Good Brothers make a return just to induct Styles into the WWE Hall of Fame 2026 would be fitting and bring a full circle moment to the ceremony this April.

3. CM Punk

On the January 26 episode of Monday Night Raw, CM Punk and AJ Styles wrestled for the first time in WWE.
While the match did not come to a conclusive finish, many fans saw how much this bout meant to both Styles and Punk.
Having not wrestled since their days on the indies and Ring of Honor, it was a wonderful choice for Styles’ final WWE Raw match.
Knowing their history and how they rekindled their friendship after some differences, Punk would surely deliver a touching speech to celebrate all of the contributions Styles has given to the pro wrestling business.

2. John Cena

There is no doubt in many fans’ minds that the greatest rival of AJ Styles’ run in WWE had to have been John Cena.
At WWE Crown Jewel 2025, Cena and Styles put on an instant classic that was a beautiful love letter to professional wrestling with moves of their greatest rivals being used throughout the match.
Cena has gone on record and talked about how he wanted to step in the ring one final time with “The Phenomenal One” after their stellar rivalry that spanned 2016 through 2017.
Cena returning to induct Styles into the WWE Hall of Fame 2026 would show just how much AJ meant to his career and feel like the most suitable choice to deliver a speech to honor his achievements.

1. Bobby Roode

One of AJ Styles’ greatest rivals of his time in TNA Wrestling was Bobby Roode.
After years in the ring for both TNA and WWE, Roode quietly retired and has since been working as a producer backstage in the company.
One of Styles’ longtime friends still in WWE, Roode would be fitting to induct “The Phenomenal One” into the Hall of Fame this April in Las Vegas.
Roode could truly capture the entire story of Styles’ career with stories and references to their time in TNA Wrestling and how he has been one of the all-time greats in WWE history as well.
