WWE Stars To Be Repackaged Soon

Share

WWE's Creed Brothers

WWE is known for repackaging stars on their roster when they’re in need some kind of spark to regain momentum.

There are currently a few names on Raw, SmackDown and NXT that are in need of something new to give them a new path to go down in the company.

Wanting to give talent a new direction or character a fresh start, repackaging their persona or even becoming a whole new version of themselves usually does the trick and allows them the chance to be renewed.

Here are six WWE stars to be potentially repackaged soon.

6. Kiana James

On the June 5 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Raquel Rodriguez defeated Kiana James, Jacy Jayne and Bayley to advance to the Queen of the Ring Semifinals.

Post match, James blamed her loss on her own tag team partner and client Giulia, leading to a falling out between the two.

While James has been a representative for Giulia since 2025, it has been her character since NXT and could be in need of a fresh start now that she will be on her own on WWE SmackDown.

James getting repackaged would be interesting to see how things change for her without Giulia by her side.

5. Jordynne Grace

At the start of 2026, Jordynne Grace got called up to the WWE main roster and became a member of the Friday Night SmackDown brand.

“The Juggernaut” was widely regarded as one of the best women’s wrestlers in the world today prior to signing with WWE in 2025.

However, Grace’s time on NXT and this run on the main roster seems to have diminished her presence on television.

Needing a refresh at this stage of her career, Grace could get repackaged and get a new license on life in WWE with a brand new character or change in persona.

4. Los Garza (Angel & Berto)

Los Garza has been a duo in WWE over the past few years, but they have never been consistently featured outside of their time with Santos Escobar in Legado Del Fantasma.

Angel and Berto did win the AAA World Tag Team Championships after WWE acquired Lucha Libre AAA in 2025.

Despite this run ending at the hands of Psycho Clown and Pagano a few months later, Los Garza might need to get a new role in WWE after the release of Escobar.

Los Garza getting new characters could allow them to break out and become a threat to win tag team gold in the near future.

3. The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed)

At AAA Noche de Los Grandes, El Grande Americano defeated The Original El Grande Americano in a Mask vs. Mask Match.

Post match, The Original El Grande unmasked to be revealed as Chad Gable. Over the past few months, The Original El Grande had some backup in the form of The Creed Brothers, who adorned some masks of their own.

Now that Gable has made his return to WWE TV, Julius and Brutus Creed might need a character refresh in their own right.

The Creeds getting repackaged might lead to some issues with Gable or even put them at odds as they try to establish themselves in the WWE tag team division without their former American Made leader.

2. Matt Cardona

In January 2026, Matt Cardona re-signed with WWE and became part of the SmackDown roster.

The former Zack Ryder looked to become a prominent star on Friday nights, but this has exactly come to fruition as of late.

Cardona has fallen by the wayside and become a bit of an enhancement talent for stars on the rise to the main event picture like Randy Orton, Sami Zayn and Trick Williams.

Needing something new to help him regain lost momentum, Cardona getting a major change in his character or turning heel could assist in reestablishing as a threat to the top stars on Friday Night SmackDown.

1. Ilja Dragunov

Losing the WWE United States Championship at the end of 2025, Ilja Dragunov came into 2026 having lost some of his confidence.

After failing to regain the title from Carmelo Hayes, “The Mad Dragon” has not been featured consistently on WWE TV.

While he remains one of the best in-ring performers in WWE today, it should be interesting to see if the company can revive Dragunov as a key player on SmackDown.

Dragunov getting repackaged might be the best way to put him right back into the spotlight in a major way moving forward.
