After WWE Women’s World Champion Naomi was pulled from action on Raw, speculation kicked into overdrive about her absence.
With WWE reporting simply that she wasn’t medically cleared to compete on August 11, fans continue to await for more potential details to be revealed as Naomi makes an announcement tonight.
However, if Naomi is set to be out of action for an extended period time, perhaps WWE will have to look to replace the current champ.
Here are seven potential replacements for Naomi as WWE Women’s World Champion.
7. Stephanie Vaquer

After being called up to the main roster, Stephanie Vaquer has already made a big impact on WWE Raw.
When she won the battle royal at Evolution in order to obtain a title shot at Clash in Paris, fans were immediately thrilled about the potential of Vaquer facing either Rhea Ripley or IYO SKY.
However, also at Evolution, Naomi would end up winning the title after cashing in her Money in the Bank contract, solidifying her as champion and Vaquer’s opponent in Paris.
Since it is possible Stephanie Vaquer was poised to win anyway, perhaps she will become the next WWE Women’s World Champion without having to defeat Naomi.

6. Nattie Neidhart

While veteran Natalya has remained a glam Dungeon Doll on WWE Raw, she has been showing off a new persona in outside appearances.
In recent months, she has brought her more vicious ‘Lowkey Legend’ Nattie Neidhart persona to the likes of GCW and Reality of Wrestling.
This weekend at AAA TripleMania, she brought that character – albeit minus the Rage Against The Machine entrance music and still using the name ‘Natalya’ – to a title bout against Flammer and Faby Apache for the Reinas de Reinas Championship.
Complete with security guards in her entrance and a decidedly more aggresive tone, Nattie Neidhart would be the perfect replacement for Naomi. Able to cement the alternate character into WWE through a big victory, the move could kick off an entirely new and grittier chapter of the WWE women’s division.

5. Bayley

After a series of setbacks, it seems that Bayley is headed for a character refresh.
With a recent vignette airing on WWE Raw featuring Bayley talking through her recent strife, it seemed that she was more resolved than ever.
Potentially teasing a dark turn for Bayley, it could make sense for her to assume the role left behind by the unhinged version of Naomi.
Able to continue to demand that the women’s division ‘Proceed with Caution’, Bayley could pick up exactly where Naomi left off.

4. Bianca Belair

While Bianca Belair has been out of action since WrestleMania 41, she could be returning sooner rather than later.
After breaking several fingers during her match against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY, Belair has been out of in-ring competition but has continued to make some on-screen appearances.
Continuing her storyline with Naomi, Belair could return amid Naomi’s absence and continue to maintain a mystery of whether or not she is currently a heel or a babyface.
Although it isn’t clear when she will be back in full-time action, through a quick match, Belair may be able to pick up the WWE Women’s World Championship.

3. IYO SKY

After having dropped the WWE Women’s World Championship after Naomi’s Money in the Bank cash-in, IYO SKY could have been set to move on to a new feud.
Seemingly set to team with Rhea Ripley to take on the potentially turning heel Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane), Naomi potentially being out of action could provide a unique opportunity.
Since Naomi was set to face SKY in a title match before she was pulled from action before WWE Raw on August 11, she could always snag the vacated title through a match on TV.
Able to recapture the WWE Women’s World Championship, IYO SKY could go on to have a great match against Stephanie Vaquer at Clash in Paris.

2. Jordynne Grace

In a surprise from NXT, it could be a fun way for a star to be called up to find themselves able to capture championship gold.
Depending on how the next WWE Women’s World Champion is determined, a multi-woman match could be in the future and could definitely include stars from NXT.
With the likes of Jordynne Grace, Blake Monroe and Jaida Parker seemingly ready to be called up at any moment, perhaps the title being vacated will provide that opportunity.
Particularly given Jordynne Grace’s real-life friendship with Naomi, this move could be surprising in the most heartwarming way.

1. Asuka

Seemingly on the verge of turning heel, Asuka could be the perfect replacement for Naomi.
Having returned from an extended period of time away from action due to injury, Asuka has yet to be able to fully tell her perspective on TV.
Perhaps a pivot point for her to not only turn heel but also strike out on her own, Asuka picking up the WWE Women’s World Championship could lead to some thrilling feuds moving forward.
Able to battle the likes of IYO SKY, Rhea Ripley and eventually the returning (and likely to be babyface) Liv Morgan, Asuka is a great fit to replace Naomi if necessary.
