With Stephanie Vaquer written off of WWE TV with an injury storyline, it could be that a brand new WWE Women’s World Champion is coming soon.
From former long-term holders of the title to those who could win it for the very first time, there are a lot of interesting options for how to move forward creatively.
Here are seven WWE stars that could replace Stephanie Vaquer as the WWE Women’s World Champion.
7. Alexa Bliss

While it has been a year since she made her big return to WWE at the Royal Rumble 2025, Alexa Bliss has yet to recapture a singles championship.
While she has continued to present as a babyface in her alliances, putting the women’s world title on Bliss could lead to a fascinating series of events unfolding as the audience learns in real time what her true intentions may have been.
Setting up a future showdown with current tag team partner Charlotte Flair, there could also be some intriguing stories to tell from Bliss’ history.
With her connection to the Wyatt Sicks not being explored, it might be that opening that door on the road to WrestleMania 42 could end up making huge moments.

6. Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley remains one of the most recognizable stars in all of WWE, a solid reason why she would be a good champ moving into WrestleMania season.
Potentially making a turn to the dark side in order to facilitate the swap, there could be a reason for Ripley to end up taking over the Women’s World Championship.
Leading to a potential feud with her current tag team partner IYO SKY, there could be an emotional rematch this year of last year’s WrestleMania 41 bout.
With Bianca Belair potentially back in action for WrestleMania 42 after having been absent since her battle against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY last year — getting the title onto Ripley leaves a lot of options.

5. Becky Lynch

While she has reclaimed the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship, it could be that Becky Lynch sets her sights on a different prize.
Potentially taking over for Stephanie Vaquer’s title reign, Lynch could go on to resurrect her Becky Two-Belts iteration by holding both titles.
Able to then go back-to-back at WrestleMania 42 to defend both, there could be a massive storyline ahead for Lynch.
In an interesting twist that could see her as the heel of a feud for one title but the babyface for the other, there could be more creative twists and turns ahead for The Man.

4. Tiffany Stratton

After losing the WWE Women’s Championship to Jade Cargill at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Tiffany Stratton has yet to return to in-ring action.
Potentially set to shift brands when she does make her return, arriving on WWE Raw and immediately capturing the top women’s title could be a power move easily pulled off by Stratton.
Marking a new era of Tiffy Time on WWE Raw, Stratton could kick off feuds against the likes of Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan, Roxanne Perez or even Nikki Bella.
Bringing some new excitement to the WWE Raw brand ahead of WrestleMania 42 and having Stratton win the Women’s World Championship could be exactly the shake-up needed on the Road to WrestleMania.

3. Nikki Bella

A solid transitional champion, Bella could go on to drop the title convincingly to any number of babyfaces like Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY or even a returning Bianca Belair — or something else entirely.
Able to resurrect her former feud with Liv Morgan (before the latter was taken out of action due to a shoulder injury), Bella capturing the Women’s World Championship could serve as a conduit for Liv Morgan’s return to the top.
Since Bella was one of Vaquer’s recent feuds, along with Raquel Rodriguez, putting the title in Bella’s hands creates an interesting point of contention between the members of Judgment Day.
Leading to future showdowns that could break up the entire faction, there are some solid reasons why Nikki Bella becoming the next WWE Women’s World Champion is the right move.

2. Chelsea Green

After losing the United States Championship on SmackDown, Chelsea Green has the opportunity to flip brands to WWE Raw.
Potentially sneaking her way into the title, it could end up being that this year’s Road to WrestleMania is headed straight to ChelseaMania.
Able to engage in an entertaining and technically impressive match with just about any of the members of the roster, Green’s veteran skills lend to having a major moment in Las Vegas.
Bringing her heelish persona back to WWE Raw and holding court at the top of the division, Green would ultimately get her comeuppance from the likes of IYO SKY, Rhea Ripley or AJ Lee — but it would be a very fun storyline in the process.

1. Bayley

Setting up what could be a total swerve in the WWE Women’s World Championship picture, Bayley could capture the title.
Going on to face opponents from her past like Charlotte Flair or Alexa Bliss, Bayley would also forced to fend off the future as well in Lyra Valkyria or Roxanne Perez.
Able to use the WrestleMania 42 opportunity to have a character renaissance of her own, Bayley could certainly take the disappointments from years past and channel it into a major storyline now.
Just as able to entertain as a heel as a babyface, it could be time for Bayley to make a major move in 2026 and capture the Women’s World Championship.
