Next week’s episode of WWE NXT is set to take place on Wednesday instead of the usual Tuesday due to coverage of the US mid-terms.
As such, the show will be going head to head with AEW Dynamite, which is the Blood & Guts special episode of the show, featuring the two titular matches.
With the show head to head with Blood & Guts, here is every big name currently confirmed for the NXT show.
Cody Rhodes
Next week’s episode of NXT is set to feature the final of this year’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, with Romeo Moreno and Noam Dar set to take on Hank Walker and Tank Ledger.
With the tournament being named after Dusty Rhodes, WWE has announced that Cody Rhodes will be in attendance for next week’s show, with him presenting the trophy to the winning team in the tournament final.
John Cena
On this week’s WWE Raw show, WWE announced that John Cena would make his return to television for the first time since his appearance at this year’s Backlash event.
At Backlash, Cena announced the creation of the John Cena Classic, though we have not been given any additional information on the Classic since he announced it, other than it reportedly being set to take place in December.
Cena announced that the John Cena Classic would feature NXT stars facing off against WWE main roster stars much like the John Cena’s Last Match edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Cena appearing on Raw and NXT next week has led to most assuming that he will be appearing to finally give us more information on the Classic, as well as maybe announcing which NXT stars will take part.
Michael Chandler
Today on social media, UFC’s Michael Chandler uploaded a video where he addressed NXT General Manager Robert Stone.
Chandler discussed the announced Unsanctioned match between Cruz Montana and Dion Lennox, with him noting that Stone needed someone that was able to keep order between the two men.
With him teasing being the enforcer for the match between Montana and Lennox, we can add Chandler to the list of names set to appear on next week’s NXT.
These three names will likely not be the only ones announced for the show, with more potentially set to be announced tomorrow night at Halloween Havoc.
