WWE has often brought back legends to play different roles on the company’s programming, such as becoming a manager.
Recently, William Regal and Fit Finlay made their returns on WWE NXT to become the on-screen mentors to their sons Charlie Dempsey and Uriah Connors in the Birthright stable.
The company could do the same thing with other legends by having them play significant roles in bolstering current talent on the WWE roster.
Here are six WWE legends to potentially return as managers.
6. Booker T Becomes The Cornerman For Jasper Troy

On the March 17 edition of WWE NXT, the brand paid tribute to color commentator Booker T with an appreciation night in his hometown of Houston, Texas.
The segment to highlight his career and contributions saw Keanu Carver come out and try to attack the two-time WWE Hall of Famer until Jasper Troy came out to make the save.
Troy is someone who has gotten a ton of guidance from Booker after becoming one of his ‘future greats’ on the first season of WWE LFG.
While he has made an impact as an announcer on the brand, Booker T might be better utilized as the manager to Troy, helping the big man create his path to the top of NXT.
5. Cowboy Bob Orton Coming Back To Manage His Son Randy Orton

On the March 13 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Randy Orton turned heel and brutally attacked his former friend Cody Rhodes during their Undisputed WWE Championship contract signing for WrestleMania 42.
Then on the March 16 edition of Monday Night Raw, Orton was scheduled for an interview, but he started this chat with a phone call from a mystery individual who he stated guided him to make the decision to betray Rhodes and reminded him who he really was.
This has led to a ton of speculation regarding the identity of this mystery phone call and who it could possibly be.
Considering his line about “wrestling having more than one royal family,” Orton could have been on the phone with his father and WWE Hall of Famer ‘Cowboy’ Bob Orton, who may make his return as the new manager for his son ahead of his showdown with Cody Rhodes at Mania.
4. The Undertaker Manages Shiloh Hill

Over the past year, The Undertaker has had more of a presence in WWE in a variety of different ways.
On the WWE LFG show, Taker has served as the star coach for the up-and-coming talent from the Performance Center.
Meanwhile, ‘The Deadman’ has also contributed creatively to the WWE main roster and in a more permanent role as the creative head for the Lucha Libre AAA promotion in Mexico.
Considering the relationship formed during the first two seasons of LFG, Taker could become the new on-screen manager for Shiloh Hill and showcase the mentorship that was on display on that show by bringing it to the NXT brand.

3. Trish Stratus In The Corner Of Tiffany Stratton

Back at WWE Elimination Chamber 2025, Trish Stratus teamed with Tiffany Stratton to defeat Nia Jax and Candice LeRae in a tag team match.
This led to Stratton issuing a challenge to the WWE Hall of Famer to face her for the WWE Women’s Championship at Evolution 2025.
While Stratton came out victorious, both ladies showed respect for one another with the fans in attendance also giving Stratus a standing ovation.
Trish making a return to become the new manager for Stratton could be what Tiffy needs to get back to the mountaintop as a champion once again.
2. AJ Styles Returning To Manage Dragon Lee

At WWE Royal Rumble 2026, GUNTHER defeated AJ Styles to end the in-ring career of ‘The Phenomenal One.’
Prior to his retirement, Styles had formed a friendship and partnership with Dragon Lee that saw the duo go on to win the World Tag Team Championship.
After Styles’ departure, it was Lee who stood up for the WWE Hall of Fame 2026 inductee against GUNTHER.
Wanting to guide Lee to the same success he once achieved, Styles could return as his manager, looking to play a more meaningful role in the ascent for the luchador in WWE.
1. Arn Anderson Managing Cody Rhodes Again

During his time in All Elite Wrestling, Cody Rhodes introduced pro wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson as his coach.
This led to several memorable segments and moments where Anderson motivated Rhodes in his feuds against the likes of Malakai (Aleister) Black and Brodie Lee.
Anderson made his return to the wrestling world when he was shown giving Cody some last minute motivation ahead of his main event match against Solo Sikoa at WWE SummerSlam 2024.
Rhodes bringing Anderson back into the fold as his on-screen coach in WWE this time would be compelling and show a different side of his personality, while giving him a ton of sympathy when a diabolical heel tries to attack the legend to get to ‘The American Nightmare.’
