Following in the footsteps of the likes of Bryan Danielson and Edge (Adam Copeland), more WWE legends could find themselves joining AEW.
From legends that have been out of action for quite some time to another who only recently revealed he was hanging up his boots in WWE, there are some intriguing prospects who could make the leap to AEW.
Here are five WWE legends that could join AEW.
5. Goldberg
While Goldberg was just featured in a match touted as his last against GUNTHER on Saturday Night’s Main Event, it seems he may not be satisfied with the situation.
Although he was happy with the match itself, Goldberg has voiced his dissatisfaction about his post-match speech being cut off on NBC after 30 seconds, and the match only really having a few weeks of build.
Making some media appearances after the event to publicly air his grievances, perhaps Goldberg would be interested in taking his talents to AEW, especially after seeing how Tony Khan has treated the likes of Sting when it comes to retirement.
After having previously been mentioned by Tony Khan as someone that he was fond of, perhaps Goldberg could see another last match, but this time in AEW.

4. AJ Styles
AJ Styles is a professional wrestling legend that remains in active competition.
Such active competition that he patiently awaits Dominik Mysterio to be cleared so Styles can get his shot at winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship for the second time in his career.
While it has recently been reported that Styles signed on for another year with WWE, that doesn’t mean that he will ultimately end up electing to retire after that contract.
Already set to appear in TNA Wrestling at Slammiversary, maybe AJ Styles will one day want to check out AEW.

3. Kelly Kelly
Kelly Kelly recently noted that she was invited to WWE Evolution 2025, but only to be shown on-screen sitting in the audience.
She declined that offer, feeling that it wasn’t what she would want for her return to WWE TV.
Perhaps interested in featuring more prominently in a storyline, Kelly Kelly could perhaps find herself in AEW, either in front of the camera or behind the scenes.
Unlike the AEW men’s division, the women’s division doesn’t feature very many returning legends coming back to the business – but Kelly Kelly could start the trend.

2. Beth Phoenix
Despite having announced last summer that she was no longer under contract with WWE, Beth Pheonix has yet to make any appearances in AEW.
If she isn’t interested in returning to in-ring action, Phoenix would still have a lot to contribute in other roles, including appearing on pay-per-view pre-shows.
With the recent return of Beth’s real-life husband Adam Copeland to AEW and seemingly poised to reunite with Christian Cage, there could be a good reason for her appearance.
She could potentially be the one to broker peace between the pair of friends turned foes and back again, kicking off one last run for them as a team.

1. Mick Foley
One WWE legend that has ruled out an in-ring return is the legendary Mick Foley.
Notably a fan of AEW, Foley wouldn’t need to do anything physical on-screen to still add tremendous presence.
Given his history in the industry and generally being beloved by audiences, AEW would definitely be a fun place to see Mick Foley.
At least have him pop up to play Santa Claus at Christmastime!
