Predicting The Next Holder Of Every Championship In WWE

WWE currently has more championships than at any other point in its 60-plus-year history.

Excluding NXT, the company now boasts 13 active main roster titles.

From mid-card belts like the Intercontinental Title to the top-tier Undisputed WWE Championship, their acquisition is something WWE performers –  both in and out of storyline – are constantly working toward.

Here are our predictions for the next holder of every WWE title.

13. Seth Rollins Cashes In Money In The Bank To Win World Heavyweight Championship

WWE stars Seth Rollins, Bronson Reed, Paul Heyman and Bron Breakker

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso’s next challenger is set, as he defends the title against former champion Gunther on Raw on June 9.

Just two days earlier, Seth Rollins competes in the Money in the Bank ladder match – and he’s made it clear he’s targeting Uso’s title.

If Rollins secures the briefcase at the PLE, he could cash in during or after Uso’s match with Gunther.

This could set the stage for a blockbuster SummerSlam title clash between Rollins and CM Punk.

12. Alexa Bliss Cashes In Money In The Bank To Win WWE Women’s Championship

WWE stars Alexa Bliss and Tiffany Stratton

Alexa Bliss had her first interaction with Tiffany Stratton on the May 23 edition of SmackDown, warning the WWE Women’s Champion that her “downfall would be quick.”

This ominous statement may foreshadow Bliss taking the title.

In the coming weeks, Bliss could align herself with the recently returned Wyatt Sicks, who may interfere at Money in the Bank to help her secure the briefcase.

With the contract in her possession, Stratton’s “downfall” could strike at any moment.

11. Rhea Ripley Beats IYO SKY To Regain Women’s World Championship

WWE stars IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley

Since winning the Women’s World Championship from Rhea Ripley in March, IYO SKY has arguably become the most popular champion in all of WWE.

Beloved by the audience and delivering outstanding in-ring performances – including a widely-celebrated classic three-way at WrestleMania 41 – SKY has been on a career-defining run.

However, Ripley has made it clear she wants her title back, and it seems likely she’ll be the one to eventually dethrone SKY.

The question is when – with SKY so popular, does WWE pull the trigger at the all-women’s PLE Evolution in July, SummerSlam in August, or wait until further on in the year?

10. Cody Rhodes Regains Undisputed WWE Championship

WWE stars Cody Rhodes and John Cena

John Cena’s stated goal of “ruining wrestling”, by taking home the Undisputed WWE Championship when he retires at the end of the year, is unlikely to come to fruition.

The most probable outcome is that former champion Cody Rhodes, whom Cena cheated out of the title, eventually regains it.

Rhodes’ return at Saturday Night’s Main Event and the announcement of a tag match at Money in the Bank with Jey Uso against Cena and Logan Paul show the feud between the pair is still very much alive.

The question now is when Rhodes reclaims the gold – as early as SummerSlam, at Survivor Series in November, or even on Cena’s final night, December 13, which could be marked by a yet-to-be-announced Saturday Night’s Main Event.

9. Becky Lynch Finally Beats Lyra Valkyria To Win Women’s Intercontinental Championship

On the May 26 edition of Raw, it was announced that Lyra Valkyria will once again defend her Intercontinental Title against Becky Lynch, with the match set for Money in the Bank.

It was noted during the segment that Lynch has never defeated Valkyria in singles competition.

It seems likely that it will be third time lucky for Lynch at the PLE, as she looks set to capture the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title for the first time, a move that would elevate the belt’s prestige.

This would also lay the groundwork for a marquee match with a returning Bayley on one of the two nights of SummerSlam.

8. Finn Balor Beats Judgement Day Teammate Dominik Mysterio To Win Intercontinental Championship

WWE Judgment Day members Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor

Dominik Mysterio pinned fellow Judgment Day member Finn Balor in a four-way match at WrestleMania 41 to capture the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Since then, Balor has been subtly sabotaging Mysterio.

This internal tension is another simmering conflict that looks set to explode, with Balor challenging for the title.

A title change could come as soon as Night of Champions on June 28.

7. Bloodline Civil War Sees Solo Sikoa Capture United States Championship

WWE Bloodline members Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa

Jacob Fatu won the United States Title at WrestleMania 41 and has since proven to be a massively over and popular champion.

In recent weeks, tensions have begun to surface between Fatu and Bloodline leader Solo Sikoa, especially following the introduction of new member JC Mateo at WWE Backlash.

The simmering feud now appears ready to explode into another Bloodline civil war, with the US Title at the centre of the conflict.

We may well see Sikoa resort to underhanded tactics to take the title from his cousin at SummerSlam.

6. Chelsea Green Cheats To Regain Women’s United States Championship

Zelina Vega defended her Women’s United States Championship against Chelsea Green at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

During the match, Green suffered a broken nose following a 619 attempt from Vega.

With no clear challengers lined up, this real-life injury could be turned into a storyline depending on how much time Green requires away.

A return wearing a protective face mask could see Green use a “reinforced” version to score an underhanded title win.

5. The Kabuki Warriors Win WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

Damage CTRL member and one half of the Kabuki Warriors, Kairi Sane, returned from injury on the May 19 edition of Raw.

On May 27, Sane had a backstage interaction with WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, where Morgan noted ahew thought Damage CTRL was dead — leading to a match Sane won.

This could mark the beginning of a feud that brings her tag partner Asuka back from injury to challenge the Judgment Day duo.

If Asuka returns in time for Evolution, on July 13, a tag title match could be set — with the belts changing hands.

4. Fraxiom Beat The Street Profits For WWE Tag Team Championship

Since being called up from NXT after WrestleMania 41, Fraxiom have remained undefeated as a tag team.

On the May 9 edition of SmackDown, they defeated WWE Tag Team Champions The Street Profits in a non-title match to earn a title shot.

The championship match that followed, however, ended in a no-contest when the Wyatt Sicks returned and took out both teams.

Fraxiom aren’t just one of the best teams in WWE, they’re one of the best in the world, and their ascension to championship gold feels an inevitability.

3. American Made Win World Tag Team Championship

Since winning the tag titles from the War Raiders at WrestleMania, The New Day have continued their heated rivalry.

On the May 12 edition of WWE Raw, New Day cost the War Raiders a match against the American Made duo of Julius and Brutus Creed, setting up a three-way title bout.

That match ended with New Day retaining, after tricking the Creeds into a temporary alliance before snatching the win for themselves.

With American Made now formally part of the feud, a three-way rematch at Money in the Bank could see the inexperienced yet highly talented duo capture their first WWE main roster championship.

2. Zaria Dethrones Sol Ruca For WWE Women’s Speed Championship

Few performers on the roster showcase as much potential as NXT’s Sol Ruca, as seen in her standout match against Kelani Jordan at Battleground on May 25.

WWE’s faith in her is apparent – she currently holds both the NXT Women’s North American Title and the Speed Championship, becoming the first NXT talent to win a title previously exclusive to main roster stars.

No obvious challengers have emerged for the Speed Championship, but following Ruca’s victory over Ivy Nile, a compelling option would be having her tag partner Zaria challenge for the title to supercharge their simmering breakup storyline.

A talented worker in her own right, Zaria could dethrone Ruca, becoming new Speed Champion.

1. AAA Star Laredo Kid Wins WWE Speed Championship From El Grande Americano

Chad Gable’s luchador alter ego, El Grande Americano, defeated Dragon Lee to capture the WWE Speed Championship on May 5.

However, he has yet to defend the title since that victory.

It seems likely his challenger will be another “fellow” luchador.

While Gable is set to face AAA star El Hijo del Vikingo at Worlds Collide on June 7, he could pull double duty and drop the title to the incredibly talented Laredo Kid.
