CM Punk is officially in the available pool to be drafted on night two of the WWE Draft, which takes place on Raw tonight.
He’s being advertised to be present at the venue – the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City – so we may be treated to an appearance from the man himself.
Here are six potential plans for CM Punk on tonight’s WWE Raw, which is the second and final night of the WWE Draft.
6. Drafted As The #1 Pick
He has to be, right?
Unless there’s some kind of explanation that he’s not gonna be back in the ring for a while and the General Managers are prioritizing talents who they can use in matches immediately, there’s no-one in the available pool that is at the star level of CM Punk.
And even using that logic, surely you’d make an exception anyway considering he’s CM PUNK.
This one should nailed-on to happen, and it would be surprising if someone from tonight’s pool, no matter who it is, is chosen ahead of Punk.

5. Drafted To Raw
There are many, many signs that point in this direction.
First of all, Seth Rollins was drafted to Raw, and, unless there are plans to hold off on Punk and Rollins being involved with each other for a long time, you’d think Punk, Rollins and Drew McIntyre are certs to stay together.
Another big sign though is actually the previous page – if Punk is chosen as the #1 pick, he will have to be on Raw as it’s confirmed that Raw gets the #1 picks tonight since SmackDown got them on night one.
In a way it would put Bianca Belair, the night one #1 pick, on Punk’s level too, which is nice.

4. Upstages Drew McIntyre
The last two times we’ve seen CM Punk and Drew McIntyre together, it hasn’t ended well for McIntyre.
At WrestleMania, Punk cost McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship, and the next night on Raw, he cost him the chance to get a rematch.
Now that we know McIntyre has re-signed with WWE, we can safely say we’re gonna get this match at some point in the not too distant future when both have recovered from their current injury issues.
Any time Punk and McIntyre are in the same building, we should be getting something that makes us even more excited for when they finally go one-on-one, and perhaps Punk upstaging McIntyre on draft night is the move.

3. Interacts With Logan Paul
This is a bit of a random one, but it’s just based on the fact that WWE has announced Logan Paul will be appearing tonight.
After retaining the United States Championship against both Randy Orton and Kevin Owens at WrestleMania, Paul isn’t currently feuding with anyone, so tonight may well set up his next opponent.
We do know Paul is staying on SmackDown, so if CM Punk is gonna be on WWE Raw, perhaps we shouldn’t expect anything major to happen between them imminently.
But even if it’s just something very brief backstage, it would be seeds planted for a potential mega match.

2. Announces In-Ring Return Date
As more time passes, we’re getting closer and closer to the in-ring return of CM Punk.
He got physical at WrestleMania, but he is still recovering and said in his post-SmackDown appearance:
“I want to give a little update, my tricep is not one hundred percent yet, but I am on track and I promise that soon I’ll be back.”
We already know he doesn’t appear every week, so if he does appear tonight and with it being a major show like the WWE Draft, it might be a good time to set things out and officially announce the date of his return match.

1. Just A Post-Show Appearance
So, let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
There’s a difference between being advertised to appear at Raw, and being announced to appear on Raw.
As was the case with SmackDown on Friday, CM Punk was advertised to appear at SmackDown, which led to a lot of people online thinking he was gonna be appearing on SmackDown.
Instead, he simply made an appearance for the crowd after the show, and wasn’t on the TV show itself.
As of this writing, Punk is only advertised to appear at Raw, not announced to appear on Raw, so we can’t be too disappointed if we don’t actually see him on our screens tonight.
If we do, it’ll be a nice surprise, but for now, let’s not go in with the expectation that he’ll be on Raw.
With that said, him being in the WWE Draft pool tonight and likely ending up on Raw does make it more likely that he’ll appear on TV than it was for SmackDown.
