With WWE SummerSlam fast approaching, there could very well be some big reunions planned as tag teams come back together.

From former friends turned foes and possibly back again to family bonds that run too deep to deny, there are numerous tag teams that fans would love to see back in action in WWE.

Here are seven WWE tag teams that could reunite soon.

7. Imperium (GUNTHER & Ludwig Kaiser)

After establishing himself as a top star in WWE, GUNTHER has been flying solo during his most recent World Heavyweight Championship reign.

While he was able to beat Goldberg, it would be revealed that his SummerSlam opponent is set to be CM Punk after Punk conquered a gauntlet of potential challengers.

Although Ludwig Kaiser has picked up the El Grande Americano character in Chad Gable’s absence, watching the German have to try and juggle both his duties supporting GUNTHER and his luchador ruse would be very fun.

Another option may be GUNTHER picking up a new ally for a new iteration of Imperium – Ilja Dragunov perhaps?

6. Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams

While Carmelo Hayes has been already on the main roster for over a year, it seems as though the next big call-up from NXT may be his former running buddy Trick Williams.

With Hayes having been drafted in the first round of the 2024 WWE Draft, it would seem totally likely that Trick Willy would also be drafted in a high round in the 2025 edition.

Potentially leading the way to a Trick Melo Gang reunion, the pair have proven to be great as singles performers but also even more fun together.

While it seems that Hayes may have already linked up with R-Truth and the Street Profits – add Trick Williams and Lash Legend and/or Kelani Jordan and a spectacular re-imagination of D-Generation X could be coming soon.

5. The Bella Twins

Although they reign supreme as one of the most recognizable WWE tag teams in recent memory, the Bella Twins never held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

With Nikki Bella having made her return, many fans were hopeful that perhaps Evolution 2025 would usher in the return of Brie Bella as well.

However, there was no appearance from Brie, as Nikki competed alone in the women’s battle royal.

Although there still seems to be a path forward with Nikki Bella seemingly aligning with Stephanie Vaquer – and potentially Lola Vice – against Chelsea Green and the Secret Hervice (Piper Niven & Alba Fyre) for SummerSlam, perhaps Brie could still join the squad.

4. Jimmy & Jey Uso

Although they have spent the majority of their time on separate brands as of late, there are some indications that The Usos could be reuniting.

With Jey factoring into the recent return of Roman Reigns after Jimmy has already made his allyship to the Tribal Chief clear, there could be a mini-Bloodline reunion in the works.

The Usos are among the most decorated WWE tag teams in history and with recent storyline shifts for Jey – in which he lost the World Heavyweight Championship – perhaps their duo is close to re-uniting.

Paving the way for a potential showdown with the New Day and Judgment Day at SummerSlam, and maybe even the Hardys in a TNA crossover, bringing The Usos back together may be the first step.

3. Tama Tonga & Jacob Fatu

Speaking of Bloodline reunions, there is still a hanging question mark regarding the allegiance of one popular member of the squad – Tama Tonga.

While it has been reported he could be nearing return from injury after being off TV since April, it isn’t clear where he may align since the Bloodline has shifted in his absence.

With Jacob Fatu temporarily running with Jimmy Uso against Solo Sikoa and a mighty squad of Talla Tonga, Tonga Loa and JC Mateo – it could be that Tama Tonga links up with Fatu & Uso.

Arguably the most fun duo of all of the new Bloodline pairings, Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga could continue to reign as a tag team even if they end up seeing the departure of Jimmy Uso from SmackDown.

2. Lucha Brothers (Penta & Rey Fenix)

WWE stars Penta and Re Fenix, the Lucha Bros

While they have been a powerful duo in their careers thus far, the Lucha Bros (Penta & Rey Fenix) have yet to appear in tag team action in WWE.

With Penta seeing singles success on WWE Raw after debuting in early 2025, it would be a bit later before Fenix was able to sign with the company.

Rey Fenix would later debut on SmackDown in April 2025, and thus far, the two have yet to encounter one another on-screen, with Fenix instead forming a tag team with Andrade.

Undoubtedly the duo will come together when the time is right and certainly create more memorable moments.

1. Bianca Belair & Naomi

Although it was Jade Cargill who ultimately defeated Naomi in their no holds barred match at WWE Evolution 2025, the night would end in a spectacular fashion.

With Naomi cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase after a beautifully brutal match between Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY, Naomi walked out with the World Heavyweight Championship.

However, when Bianca Belair was raising the hand of Jade Cargill in the earlier match since she was special guest referee, she certainly didn’t seem particularly thrilled.

Leaving an air of mystery around her allegiance, Belair could easily re-join up with Naomi and activate a brand new version of herself where she is the scariEST woman in WWE.
