There are a variety of fan favorite WWE stars currently absent from TV who could be set for returns sooner rather than later.
While several are awaiting returns after suffering injuries, others have recently noted that they will be back soon.
Here are six WWE stars who are likely to return sometime soon.
6. JD McDonagh
JD McDonagh has been out action since January 2025 when he suffered broken ribs and a punctured lung during a World Tag Team Championship match on WWE Raw.
Despite the seriousness of the injury, McDonagh finished the match.
The Judgment Day star recently commented that he was aiming to be medically cleared within a month, and that was just under a month ago at this point.
Hopefully McDonagh will be able to make a surprise return soon, if not before WrestleMania then certainly on WWE Raw after to rejoin the Judgment Day story.

5. Asuka
Currently out of action due to a knee injury, Asuka hasn’t been featured in a match since May 2024’s WWE Backlash.
Although she continues to keep fans update on her progress (and dropping hilarious memes) on social media, it seems the wait may be a bit longer for the return of the Empress of Tomorrow.
Some recent rumors place Asuka’s potential return as set for sometime in May 2025 and potentially after Backlash, so we’ll keep hoping to see her reunited with Damage CTRL soon.
Or, perhaps she’ll return with a different iteration of her character or new allegiances after such a long absence.

4. Becky Lynch
While it has still not been officially announced, it is believed that Becky Lynch has re-signed with WWE despite her continued absence.
She stays perpetually rumored to be returning – however no such luck as Lynch has yet to make an appearance since her loss to Liv Morgan at the end of May last year.
The Royal Rumble came and went and the road to WrestleMania is fully underway with The Man still nowhere to be found.
But since the return would make the perfect WWE Raw after WrestleMania surprise for Netflix, maybe fans will be seeing Lynch very soon.

3. Tonga Loa
Suffering an injury at November 2024’s Survivor Series: WarGames during the OG Bloodline vs. New Bloodline match, Tonga Loa has been out of action since.
However, some reports have noted that Tonga Loa could be back in action by WrestleMania 41.
Given the recent storyline developments between Jacob Fatu and the other remaining members of the New Bloodline – Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga – it may be compelling to see where Tonga Loa ends up aligning.
Tonga Loa could prove to be a pivotal player in whatever happens between the Bloodline members at WrestleMania 41.

2. Wyatt Sicks
After making a massive debut in June 2024, the Wyatt Sicks (Bo Dallas/Uncle Howdy, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, Erick Rowan and Nikki Cross) have been absent as of late.
With none of the Wyatt Sicks members having made in-ring appearances on TV in 2025, it seems as though they’re likely to return soon.
There have been some rumors regarding the Wyatts potentially making an appearance at WrestleMania 41, involving Alexa Bliss in some way, but it remains to be seen if the chatter comes to fruition.
Whether at Mania or sometime thereafter, hopefully the Wyatt Sicks find their way back to TV soon.

1. Bronson Reed
After suffering a broken talus bone in November 2024 during the Survivor Series: WarGames match, Big Bronson Reed is still set to be out of action a few more months.
Previously Reed took to social media to clarify that his injury was actually more complex than was being widely reported, including requiring a bone marrow transplant from his hip to his foot.
Reed confirmed that he would not be eligible for any surprise Rumble returns and would be missing WrestleMania 41, but on the bright side, there’s been a general projection of Summer 2025 for a return.
