Sometimes WWE stars are so beloved it is easy to forget that they haven’t yet won a WWE world championship – but it might be time for some of them soon.
From veterans who have been in WWE for many years to some who haven’t even been called up to the main roster yet, the list of potential first-time future world champions is plentiful
Here are six WWE stars who could win their first world championship soon.
6. Sami Zayn
While he has been a top star in the WWE for the past several years, Sami Zayn continues to have never won a World Championship.
With Karrion Kross previously planting seeds with Zayn, taunting him that he would never win a World Title, it seemed to be foreshadowing something in the future.
Sami Zayn is currently out of action due to storyline injury after having a brutal match against Kevin Owens at WWE Elimination Chamber.
Depending on the result of WrestleMania 41, perhaps someday we could see Jey Uso vs Sami Zayn for the World Title, or if GUNTHER retains against Uso at WrestleMania, don’t forget who beat GUNTHER to win the Intercontinental Championship last year.

5. Roxanne Perez
While she remains technically still an NXT star now, Roxanne Perez is clearly on the rise in the WWE women’s division.
Making an appearance in the Elimination Chamber as well as making history in the Royal Rumble 2025, breaking the record as having the longest appearance in a women’s Rumble, it seems likely that Perez is headed for big things in the future.
It would make total sense to see Roxanne Perez win a world championship after arriving on the main roster.
Fans have to wait and see whether or not Roxanne’s call-up is on pause until the WWE Draft or if by some chance she makes an arrival sooner rather than later.

4. Bron Breakker
Current WWE Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker seems like another likely future World Champion.
Perhaps following the trajectory of GUNTHER, Breakker could use the IC Title as a step towards his first main roster world title.
Breakker was already an NXT Champion, proving that he can defend the title in a variety of circumstances.
With numerous built-in feuds yet to be explored for his Intercontinental Title, Breakker can roll them over into his first World Championship reign.

3. Jade Cargill
Jade Cargill made a powerful return to WWE at the Elimination Chamber after an absence due to an attack from Naomi.
Immediately targeting Naomi, she would later have a match against Liv Morgan on SmackDown that was cut short but still showcased a vicious side of her character.
This Cargill is certainly more unstoppable than ever before and it would be a full circle moment for her to go after the WWE Women’s World Championship – especially if Bianca Belair captures gold at WrestleMania 41.
If not, there’s still some likely path to a world title for Jade Cargill sooner rather than later.

2. Jey Uso
Jey Uso has the opportunity to capture his first world championship when he takes on GUNTHER for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 41.
While he has held the WWE tag team titles many times – multiple times with his brother Jimmy Uso and once with Cody Rhodes – and a short reign with the Intercontinental Championship, he has yet to capture a singles world title.
Able to outlast everyone else in the 2025 Royal Rumble, Uso chose to target GUNTHER and has since proven himself to be as popular as ever with WWE fans.
While it certainly could happen at WrestleMania 41, even if it doesn’t, it could still happen in the future as it seems there are no signs of the Yeet-train slowing down.

1. LA Knight
Another WWE star who has never won a world title in the company is the ‘Megastar’ LA Knight.
While he has recently reclaimed the WWE United States Championship, LA Knight remains wildly popular with fans.
Accordingly, it would seem likely that he too could be headed for his first world championship sooner rather than later.
With the upcoming WWE Draft it is entirely possible that Knight could find himself away from his current home of SmackDown and a viable contender against any number of main event opponents on WWE Raw.
