TNA Wrestling Stars To Leave Soon

With continued changes in the roster, there could be even more TNA Wrestling stars set to depart from the company in the near future.

From contracts ending to others that could be heading back to WWE after previous runs, there may be some intriguing TNA Wrestling names departing the brand.

Here are seven TNA Wrestling stars that could be set to leave soon.

7. Matt Cardona

Former WWE star Matt Cardona at Impact Wrestling

One TNA Wrestling name that definitely should make his way back to WWE in some capacity is Matt Cardona.

Formerly known as Zack Ryder in his time in WWE, the five years since his departure have seen a complete re-invention for Cardona on the independent wrestling scene.

Being involved in numerous of the biggest angles outside of the lens of TV wrestling, Cardona continues to appear on TV as well as a part of the TNA Wrestling roster.

Potentially returning to WWE with a ready-made storyline with his real-life wife Chelsea Green and her AAA mixed tag team partner Ethan Page — there are so many compelling stories for Cardona in NXT and beyond.

6. Cedric Alexander

One star that could be departing TNA and not going directly to WWE is Cedric Alexander.

After being released from WWE back in February, Alexander took time to sign a short-term deal with TNA Wrestling in order to re-establish himself as a singles star.

Now reportedly no longer under contract with TNA Wrestling, it could be that a move to a different notable promotion could be in his future.

Still the only member of the WWE stable The Hurt Business that has yet to make his way into the AEW stable The Hurt Syndicate — it could be that Cedric Alexander finds himself All Elite in the near future.

5. The IInspiration

Currently the TNA Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Champions, the duo of Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee are back in pro wrestling in a big way.

After taking time off to start families, the pair reunited on screen and in the ring in 2025 in TNA Wrestling, going on to capture the Knockouts tag titles.

Receiving a warm reception from the NXT audience when the duo made an appearance on as a part of the recent invasion angle, it definitely seems WWE fans remember The IIconics.

With the duo having been wildly entertaining during their initial run in WWE, hopefully the duo formerly known as Billie Kay and Peyton Royce make their returns to WWE sometime in 2026.

4. Joe Hendry

Entering the Royal Rumble 2025 and facing Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41, Joe Hendry has had a dream WWE year and hasn’t even been signed to the company yet.

While contracted with TNA Wrestling, it seems that Joe Hendry’s time is coming to a close in the company with reports slating his contract to end next month.

Likely moving on to sign with WWE, Hendry has continued to make the most of his crossover appearances, most recently engaging in a mixed tag team feud with Chelsea Green and Ethan Page that has seen him join forces with Thea Hail.

Definitely set for big things in the future, it would seem that Joe Hendry’s signing with WWE is all but a done deal.

3. Tessa Blanchard

One TNA Wrestling star that could look to depart the promotion is Tessa Blanchard.

With a past history competing in other promotions such as CMLL and AAA, the former TNA Knockouts Champion recently returned to Mexico.

Making recent appearances in CMLL, it was revealed that Blanchard’s contract with TNA allowed her to work outside of the promotion.

Potentially looking to return to the Mexico-based promotion in the future, Blanchard could end up doing something big in the near future.

2. Mike Santana

Current TNA Wrestling Champion Mike Santana has plenty of reason to celebrate including holding the TNA World Championship and reaching an important milestone — 1000 days clean and sober.

Taking to social media to discuss the topic, Santana has been open about his struggles as well as his triumphs — making him a compelling character both inside and outside of the ring.

While Santana remains the top champ in the company, he is also among those reportedly set to see their current TNA Wrestling contracts come to a close in the coming months.

Potentially able to follow in the footsteps of Joe Hendry with an increasing presence in NXT over time, it could be that Mike Santana finds himself in WWE in 2026.

After having been released from NXT under her former character of Jakara Jackson, the engaging former member of the Meta-Four didn’t quit wrestling and rather went on to debut in TNA Wrestling.

Making an impact in the division already under her new ring name Mara Sade, the former NXT star has already returned to the brand during the recent invasion storyline.

With continued excellence in her in-ring work in addition to ability to create intriguing characters, it would seem that Sade could make a return to NXT in the coming year or even pop-up on the main roster.

Being the perfect third addition to the new duo of Nia Jax and Jakara Jackson, Mara Sade could make them an even more dangerous force on SmackDown.
