Standing out as TNA Wrestling’s biggest event of the year, Bound for Glory 2025 takes place tonight at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, MA.
Marquee matches such as The Hardy Boyz vs. Team 3D “One Final Table” and Trick Williams vs. Mike Santana, are set to give closure to some of the company’s biggest angles of the year, and with the show acting as a season finale of sorts, perhaps the roster will go through some changes once the dust has settled on the show.
With WWE’s partnership with TNA continuing to grow, some stars could make their way to the company full-time after Bound for Glory, whether immediately, or in the months that follow the show.
Here are eight TNA Wrestling stars to potentially join WWE after Bound for Glory 2025.
8. The Hardy Boyz

As mentioned, The Hardy Boyz are set to cap off one of the most storied rivalries in wrestling history at Bound for Glory, as they defend both the TNA and NXT Tag Team Championships against Team 3D aka The Dudley Boyz.
While few expect Bully Ray and D-Von to pick up the win in the match, perhaps a surprise return run for the boys from Dudleyville could be in store after Bound for Glory? Making way for The Hardys to begin a new chapter.
Whether this happens or not, The Hardys reportedly don’t have long left on their TNA deals, signing a one year deal in November 2024, so, regardless of the result, their future is currently up in the air.
Given that they already hold gold in WWE, opening the door for a return to the company proper, perhaps it won’t be too long until we see Matt and Jeff back on the company’s roster for one last run.

7. Joe Hendry

TNA Wrestling’s biggest singles star of 2025, Joe Hendry heads into Bound for Glory without a spot on the card.
While the 20 person Call Your Shot Gauntlet could be where we see Hendry show up, it has been clear to see that the Scottish star’s importance in the current creative picture has diminished somewhat in recent months.
Instead Hendry has been more frequently, and prominently, featured on WWE NXT television and reports are suggesting that he could be WWE bound once his TNA deal expires.
Hendry has confirmed that he’s in his contract year with TNA, so perhaps we’ll see him step up and challenge NXT Champion Ricky Saints post Bound for Glory, rather than the winner of the TNA World Championship match between Trick Williams and Mike Santana.

6. The IInspiration
![]()
While Cassie Lee and Jess McKay only recently began their second reign as TNA Knockout’s Tag Team Champions, it was reported in this week’s issue of Dave Melzter’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that The IInspiration’s TNA deals are set to be up soon.
Given that they hold TNA gold it’s likely that new terms will be agreed, however, with fans also getting a taste of the former IIconics back on WWE NXT programming lately, perhaps a return to WWE full-time could be on the cards instead?
Lee and McKay could provide extra strength to the WWE Women’s Tag Team division, tying up with many of the stars from their era in the mid to late 2010s that are still on top, such as current Women’s Tag Team Champions Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.
While it may seem unlikely right now, their contract situation is certainly worth keeping an eye on.

5. Matt Cardona

For the first time since his release in 2020, Matt Cardona will step into a WWE ring once again on this week’s NXT – taking on Josh Briggs.
The return will be a major moment for the former Zack Ryder to prove himself on the WWE stage once again, with many fans hoping that he could eventually wind up back in the company on a full-time basis after redefining himself on the independent scene over the past five years.
Cardona has been open about his desire to return to WWE for quite some time, with his wife, SmackDown’s Chelsea Green also banging that same drum.
With Cardona not heavily featured in a top position in TNA, perhaps, like Joe Hendry, he can transition to WWE television instead, beginning in NXT before eventually getting a crack on the main roster under his real name, rather than “Long Island Iced Z”.

4. Mustafa Ali

On this past Tuesday’s WWE NXT, Mustafa Ali made his in-ring return to the company for the first time since his release in the Fall of 2023.
Fittingly, given WWE’s plans for Ali to win the North American Championship prior to his abrupt departure, Ali returned to right that wrong and challenge Ethan Page for that same title.
Unfortunately for Ali that opportunity passed him by, despite an excellent effort, with WWE playing up his almost cursed nature after losing due to a freak incident where his foot got tangled in the wires from the NXT commentary table.
While this helped serve the story on the night, it feels like WWE should eventually cap off this angle by giving Ali his big win eventually. It’s unclear how long Ali’s TNA deal runs for however, as he signed with the promotion in January 2025. If his deal is just for one year, perhaps Ali can make his full-time return in early 2026 and put a rubber stamp on his WWE career via his first title win.

3. Nic Nemeth

Since being released by WWE in September 2023, Nic Nemeth (fka Dolph Ziggler) has become one of TNA’s top stars, holding the company’s World Championship for 183 days between July 2024 and January 2025.
It was in January that news spread that Nemeth had signed an extension to his TNA contract, ruling out any potential moves away from the company before early next year at the soonest.
While there’s a chance that Nemeth could be signed for more than a year, one year extensions are not unfamiliar for many stars in the company, so perhaps the former WWE star will be a free agent before too long.
While he’s yet to appear as a part of the TNA invasion of WWE, Nemeth is someone considered by many fans to be an unsung legend of WWE during the PG Era, and deserves one last run in the company, along with a Hall of Fame induction before all is said and done.

2. Laredo Kid

After spending four years with TNA, Laredo Kid last week confirmed his departure from the company.
The 38-year-old star is someone who has featured in many different promotions during his time in TNA, most notably AAA, which is now under WWE’s umbrella.
This could mean that he makes a move to AAA full-time, as well as occasional appearances on WWE TV, having debuted on NXT back in June.
Whatever the case, Laredo Kid is among the most experienced available lucha stars with some name value in the United States, and WWE would perhaps be wise to feature him more regularly in the WWE and AAA crossover.

1. Cedric Alexander

While the smart money seems to be on Cedric Alexander making the move to AEW once his TNA deal expires, perhaps a WWE return could be on the cards instead?
Alexander appeared back in WWE as a part of the TNA invasion angle ahead of WWE NXT Showdown last week, but didn’t feature in a prominent spot on that show’s card.
While that doesn’t lend much weight to the idea that WWE could be looking to re-sign Alexander, perhaps they may make him an offer, rather than letting him show up in AEW as the fourth member of The Hurt Syndicate.
With his deal set to be up imminently, we likely won’t have long to wait before finding out what Alexander’s future looks like.
