After WWE announced that Ripley will appear on the March 6 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, fans could see any number of plans in store for an interaction with Cargill on this week’s show.

Here are six potential Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill WWE SmackDown plans.

6. Face-to-face confrontation

On the March 2 edition of Monday Night Raw, Rhea Ripley stated that she was ready to go face-to-face with WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill this Friday on SmackDown.

Cargill and Ripley are two of the most physically intimidating women on the WWE roster today, so their stature and presence should be on full display in a face-to-face.

Both women are known for their size and physique, making this an evenly matched affair between Rhea and Jade.

Whether it be on the microphone or just seeing them stand toe-to-toe, this confrontation holds a lot of possibilities for Ripley and Cargill to gain some immediate attention for their upcoming meeting at WrestleMania 42.

5. Bringing their social media interaction to the light

WWE's Rhea Ripley

After WWE Elimination Chamber 2026, Jade Cargill and Rhea Ripley immediately garnered the spotlight with an intense exchange of words on social media.

Showing off their disdain for each other, Ripley called out Cargill for being more talk instead of action, while Jade put Rhea’s status with WWE creative into question.

While this started as a planned storyline, things got serious and went off course with the comments about creative by Cargill, but WWE was pleased with the attention they got due to all of this according to reports.

Bringing this social media tension to the light on Friday Night SmackDown would be the best way to further fan the flames between Rhea and Jade, causing this WrestleMania 42 match to gain even more interest from the fans.

4. Sit-down interview

The sit-down interview format has been used to put an individual feud into better context for the fans and allow two performers to air their grievances with one another.

Considering all the interest Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill have garnered over the week, WWE could let these ladies loose in a sit-down interview.

On the road to WrestleMania 41, Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair drove more intrigue into their WWE Women’s Championship match via a sit-down where things went off script.

With everything that has happened on social media, WWE might utilize their apparent issues to let Cargill and Ripley air their differences to the audience with a sit-down on the March 6 Friday Night SmackDown.

With Rhea Ripley winning the Women’s Elimination Chamber, she will now challenge Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship.

Like many matches in the company, things are not going to be official for WrestleMania 42 until a contract is signed.

A contract signing on the March 6 edition of Friday Night SmackDown could be another way to get things going between Cargill and Ripley.

Rhea and Jade feel like two individuals who can use this style of segment to put everything out into the forefront as they make their WrestleMania clash official for the fans to see.

Putting that on display should be key to making fans want to see Rhea and Jade clash in Las Vegas.

While a face-to-face confrontation has been teased, WWE could go in the direction of having both women compete on Friday Night SmackDown this week.

Wanting to drive up the interest in this bout, the company could announce a Beat The Clock Challenge between Cargill and Ripley where they both face individual opponents to see who can win fastest with the winner getting to pick the stipulation for their match.

1. Jade Cargill attacks IYO SKY to send a message

Over the past few months, Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY have grown as friends and tag team partners before the fans’ eyes.

Becoming RHIYO, the duo were able to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships together.

However, The Irresistible Forces defeated RHIYO to win the titles on the February 27 edition of WWE SmackDown.

To really make this rivalry personal, Cargill could assault IYO to send a message and get into Ripley’s head on the road to WrestleMania 42 right from the start on Friday Night SmackDown.
