At WWE Elimination Chamber 2026, Randy Orton defeated Cody Rhodes, Logan Paul, Trick Williams, LA Knight and Je’Von Evans to win the men’s Elimination Chamber and advance to WrestleMania 42.

Ahead of challenging for the Undisputed WWE Championship, Orton may want to have some backup ahead of ‘The Show of Shows.’

Considering his history with factions in the past, Orton feels like the perfect star to lead his own faction that could stand atop of Friday Night SmackDown on the road to WrestleMania 42.

Here are seven potential Randy Orton WWE faction plans before WrestleMania 42.

7. Aligning With Aleister Black & Zelina

On the February 6 episode of SmackDown, Randy Orton defeated Solo Sikoa and Aleister Black to qualify for the men’s Elimination Chamber.

Since that loss, Black has had his eyes set on ‘The Legend Killer’ and has sent messages to Orton in regards to needing to let out his killer instinct.

This led to Black defeating Orton in a singles match on the February 20 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

After playing mind games over the past few weeks, it might be time for Black and Zelina to embrace and align with Orton in a faction that would help him win world title #15 at WrestleMania 42.

6. Infiltrating The Wyatt Sicks

Back in 2016 and 2017, Randy Orton joined The Wyatt Family and attempted to tear down the group from within.

Orton joining The Wyatt Family led to the stable winning the SmackDown Tag Team Championship and then ‘The Viper’ dethroning Bray Wyatt for the WWE Title at WrestleMania 33.

Now a decade later, The Wyatt Sicks have become one of the most prominent factions on Friday Night SmackDown.

Looking to have history repeat itself, Orton could join forces with The Wyatt Sicks to help his path back to the Undisputed WWE Championship.

5. Joining Forces With Drew McIntyre Against Cody Rhodes

The end of WWE Elimination Chamber 2026 saw Drew McIntyre get involved in the men’s Elimination Chamber match and attempt to assist Randy Orton in beating Cody Rhodes to close the night.

However, Orton delivered an RKO to McIntyre, while Cody gave the champion a Cross Rhodes. This time around though, Orton did not hesitate to drop Rhodes with an RKO to win the men’s Chamber.

With an Undisputed WWE Championship match scheduled for the March 6 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Rhodes could walk out of this week’s show as a three-time WWE Champion.

If Cody is able to win the gold and set up a showdown with ‘The Legend Killer,’ Orton might be willing to put their past issues behind them and align with McIntyre against Rhodes to make sure he does not walk out of Mania as champion.

4. Bringing Je’Von Evans Over From WWE Raw To SmackDown

Back in 2024, Randy Orton came down to WWE NXT and defeated Je’Von Evans in a first time ever singles meeting.

Since then, Orton has become something of a mentor to Evans behind-the-scenes, helping him in his journey in WWE.

‘The Young OG’ has now become one of the rising stars on Monday Night Raw and looks to be on the road to winning championship gold.

Based on their recent relationship with one another, it would make sense for Orton to recruit Evans into his new faction, bringing him over from Monday Night Raw to Friday Night SmackDown before WrestleMania 42.

3. New Version Of Evolution

When Randy Orton started to climb the ladder in WWE during the 2000s, it came as a member of Evolution alongside Triple H, Ric Flair and Batista.

Now more than 20 years later, Orton stands at the mountaintop of WWE as one of the greatest stars in the history of the company.

Wanting the ethos of the faction to continue, Orton could recreate his own version of Evolution for this new era.

Now playing the role of leader originally held by Triple H, Orton could find a legend to be his Ric Flair, while recruiting younger stars from the WWE NXT brand to evolve the business moving forward.

2. Recruiting Myles Borne & Other NXT Stars For A New Stable

Since making his WWE debut, Myles Borne has drawn a lot of comparisons to Randy Orton based on his look and the way he moves around the ring.

Both Orton and Borne have made references to their similarities on social media and seem to have created a backstage relationship.

Orton could use this mentorship with Borne to start building a new faction that will help him sit atop of WWE as a champion coming out of WrestleMania 42.

Recruiting Borne and other NXT stars, Orton could truly set the groundwork for the future of WWE by being a leader to up-and-coming talent from the black and silver brand.

1. Merging With Birthright To Create A New Legacy

Over the past couple of months, fans have seen Lexis King recruiting different stars to join a new stable that includes multi-generation talent.

King has started building with Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo, Arianna Grace and Uriah Connors by his side, forming what is being referred to as ‘Birthright.’

With the similarities to Randy Orton’s old stable Legacy, there could easily be a merger with Birthright for ‘The Legend Killer.’

Giving the group a new lease on life, Orton merging with Birthright could give everyone a Legacy 2.0 style faction that has what it takes to dominate WWE for years to come.
