WWE has confirmed that John Cena will headline the upcoming Wrestlepalooza event on September 20 in a ‘blockbuster headline attraction’.
Also noted for ‘major matches’ at the event include top stars Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre.
Here are our predictions for all of the matches that will be on the upcoming WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025 card.
5. John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar
With the news that WWE would be bringing Wrestlepalooza to fans on September 20 was also the confirmation of John Cena headlining the event.
While it has yet to be confirmed that Cena will be facing Brock Lesnar specifically at the event – after the latter’s SummerSlam suprise attack, he seems like the most likely opponent.
Given his mainstream name recognition across sports, Brock Lesnar’s inclusion on the first ESPN hosted WWE event makes sense in regards to capturing interest from lapsed wrestling fans or general casual sports fans.
With John Cena set to headline the Wrestlepalooza on ESPN, taking on Lesnar would certainly fit the description of a “blockbuster headline attraction”.

4. Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre – Undisputed WWE Championship
Even though John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar has major appeal, there could be a contender to steal the show for the WWE Championship between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre.
With Drew McIntyre clearly targeting Cody Rhodes and the WWE Championship, it would make sense for this bout to be deferred to the upcoming Wrestlepalooza 2025 rather than being added to the already stacked Clash in Paris card.
Including a few more weeks of back and forth will be a solid way to build the emotional complexity of the feud which thus far has been largely without exposition.
With McIntyre likely to share some resentments towards Rhodes for not only the heroes welcome that Cody received upon returning to WWE, he could also dredge up old bad blood about the Bloodline.

3. Becky Lynch vs. Rhea Ripley – WWE Women’s World Championship
After Naomi revealed that she is pregnant, the WWE Women’s World Championship has been vacated.
Potentially able to be pulled forward as a storyline tournament from now until next month’s Wrestlepalooza which would host the final showdown between Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley.
Either way setting up a formidable long term foe for the eventual return of Liv Morgan, the path forward for the title may have gotten shaken up by Naomi’s joyous news.
In the matter of Stephanie Vaquer’s title shot won by way of the Evolution battle royal – perhaps Vaquer could get a bye in the tournament or even be already slotted as the first challenger to the winner.

2. Nikki Bella vs. Bayley – Women’s Intercontinental Championship
While it seems that Bayley is still headed for a shot at the WWE IC title, it doesn’t seem as though it will be against a heel Becky Lynch.
Sneaking out a surprise victory, Nikki Bella could be poised to leave Clash in Paris 2025 with the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
Going on to follow up on her Royal Rumble conflict with Bayley, Bella could stay babyface in the feud since it seems there is a change coming to Bayley’s character.
Appearing in vignettes on the last two editions of WWE Raw, Bayley seems to be teasing a darker tone for her character with a likely heel turn in the future.

1. CM Punk & LA Knight vs. Seth Rollins & Bron Breakker
For the first WWE Wrestlepalooza, there should definitely be a star studded tag team bout.
While there could be a match between just CM Punk and Seth Rollins for the latest round of their blood feud, it could make sense to couple the notable names with another pair of powerhouses for the ESPN debut.
If CM Punk were to have to team with LA Knight, there is certainly plenty of storyline to mine there regarding whether or not they can (or should!) trust one another in the bout over the coming weeks.
Furthermore, it gives Seth Rollins the opportunity to continue to showcase the grip he has over the emotions of Breakker, sending him into battle whilst the champ leaves unscathed.
