At WWE NXT’s No Mercy PLE it was announced that the NXT and TNA rosters would collide on October 7.
NXT authority figure Ava appeared on the show, revealing she had spoken with her TNA counterpart Santino Marella, and the two would select participants for an upcoming crossover episode titled Invasion.
The name is a clear callback to WWE’s 2001 pay-per-view Invasion, which saw stars from the recently folded ECW and WCW rosters battle WWE’s own.
Here is our predicted card for the WWE NXT & TNA Invasion card on October 7.
5. The Hardy Boyz vs. DarkState

During her announcement at No Mercy, Ava made one match official.
She confirmed that Invasion will feature a champion vs champion, winner-takes-all clash for both companies’ tag team championships between DarkState and The Hardys.
While not announced, it seems likely this bout will open the show on October 7.
Given The Hardys already have a tag title defense lined up at TNA’s next PPV Bound for Glory against The Dudley Boyz, it looks unlikely they will drop the belts here – suggesting the legendary team will once again hold gold in WWE where they first made their names.

4. Kelani Jordan vs. Indi Hartwell

At TNA’s Victory Road special on September 26, WWE NXT star Kelani Jordan defeated Lei Ying Lee for the vacant Knockouts Title – a belt vacated earlier in the night by Ash By Elegance.
This win plays directly into the ongoing feud, with TNA stars resenting WWE talent holding their championships, and a challenge for Jordan at Invasion looks certain.
At Victory Road, TNA’s Indi Hartwell was the special guest referee for the match and was visibly unhappy, reluctantly counting the pinfall and raising Jordan’s hand.
It seems clear Hartwell will be the first challenger, and that clash will likely happen at Invasion.

3. Sol Ruca, Zaria, Jaida Parker, Lola Vice & Jordynne Grace vs. Steph De Lander, Lei Ying Lee, The IIspiration & Xia Brookside

While not announcing the participants, Ava confirmed at No Mercy that Invasion would feature two Survivor Series style elimination matches between WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling stars – one male and one female.
It was also noted that the participants will be chosen on the October 1 edition of NXT television.
Given the high-profile nature of the match, we can expect NXT’s top female stars to be involved – names like Sol Ruca & Zaria, Jaida Parker, and Lola Vice – who recently delivered a standout showing in defeat to champion Jacy Jayne – as well as former TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace, whose allegiance could play directly into the storyline.
For the TNA side, seeds were planted by the women who invaded the September 23 edition of WWE NXT, including Steph De Lander, Lei Ying Lee and Xia Brookside – with the possibility of the team being rounded out by the popular former NXT team The IInspiration.

2. Ricky Saints vs. Eric Young

The main event of No Mercy saw a major title change, as Ricky Saints ended Oba Femi’s dominant 10-month reign with the NXT Championship in a standout bout.
We could very well see Saints’ first title defence come against a TNA Wrestling star at Invasion.
A likely candidate could be two-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eric Young, who appeared on the September 23 edition of NXT as part of the invasion.
Young himself is no stranger to the WWE brand, once leading the dominant SAnitY faction – could he now return to challenge for the NXT Championship?

1. Trick Williams, Myles Borne, Hank Walker, Tank Ledger & Je’Von Evans vs. Mike Santana, Frankie Kazarian, Moose, Matt Cardona & Leon Slater

It appears likely that the men’s 5-on-5 elimination match will headline Invasion on October 7.
The question is who could make the respective teams.
On the WWE NXT side, Trick Williams – whose run with the TNA World Championship sparked the company feud – seems certain; he could be joined by Myles Borne, who has already declared his desire to take part, as well as former NXT Tag Team Champions Hank and Tank, who were among the first to sprint to the ring during the September 23 invasion, with the final spot likely going to Je’Von Evans, already set to challenge for TNA’s X-Division Championship at Bound for Glory.
For TNA, it looks like Mike Santana, who will challenge Williams for the TNA World Title at Bound for Glory, will lead the team; he could be backed by Frankie Kazarian, Moose, and Matt Cardona, with the group rounded out by X-Division Champion Leon Slater.
