Predicting The Next Holder Of Every Championship On WWE SmackDown

Since the start of 2025 there have been a lot of changes to the landscape of WWE SmackDown when it comes to who holds gold.

From John Cena winning the Undisputed WWE Championship to Street Profits regaining the WWE Tag Team Championships, these title changes have seen dramatic shifts in the direction of the entire show.

Looking to the future, there are several stars who may be in line to get their hands on some championship gold in the weeks and months to come.

Here are our predictions for the next holder of every championship on WWE SmackDown.

WWE Women’s Championship – Naomi

At WWE Money in the Bank 2025, Naomi defeated Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer and Roxanne Perez to win the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

Promising to make Tiffany Stratton’s life a living hell in the same fashion she did to her when she was Ms. Money in the Bank, Naomi has been a constant threat to her WWE Women’s Championship reign ever since.

After Jade Cargill won the Queen of the Ring Finals at WWE Night of Champions 2025, it feels like the stage has been set for Naomi to eventually cash in very soon.

With Cargill likely challenging Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam 2025, this bout might see Naomi cash in during it to win the title and take her place atop the SmackDown women’s division.

WWE Women’s United States Championship – Jordynne Grace

On the June 27 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Giulia defeated Zelina Vega to win the WWE Women’s United States Championship.

Now that “The Beautiful Madness” holds the title, it is difficult to think about who could possibly dethrone her from the current SmackDown women’s division.

Looking over at the NXT roster, there are quite a few stars who could make the jump and add a lot to the women’s scene on the blue brand.

Out of everyone, Jordynne Grace seems like the best candidate to be called up to the SmackDown brand and eventually be the one to dethrone Giulia for the WWE Women’s United States Championship.

WWE United States Championship – Jacob Fatu

At WWE Night of Champions 2025, Solo Sikoa defeated Jacob Fatu to win the United States Championship.

Getting assistance from JC Mateo, the returning Tonga Loa and the debuting Tala Tonga, Sikoa finally won his first singles title on the WWE main roster.

This war being waged between the two cousins should only heat up and intensify throughout this rivalry.

Whether it be after he finds some backup or having to fight on his own, “The Samoan Werewolf” should eventually be the star to take the United States Championship from Sikoa at the end of this feud.

WWE Tag Team Championships – The Wyatt Sicks

The SmackDown tag team scene has become the best division of any of the three main brands of WWE.

On the May 23 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, The Wyatt Sicks made their return to the brand and ran roughshod through each and every tag team in front of them.

After the rest of the division interfered in their recent opportunity at the WWE Tag Team Championships on the June 27 episode, Uncle Howdy and company might have to beat every other duo before getting their next shot.

The Wyatt Sicks eventually being the tandem to overcome The Street Profits and win the WWE Tag Team Championships seems like a good way to place the spotlight firmly on the group for the first time since their debut.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships – Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss

Over the past few weeks on SmackDown, fans have watched Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss form a tentative alliance.

Feuding with Chelsea Green and her Secret Hervice, Flair and Bliss have joined forces, bringing two of the most decorated WWE Women’s Champion together.

With Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez now holding the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, The Judgment Day duo might find their fiercest competition from this new unlikely alliance.

Charlotte and Alexa forming a formidable pairing to defeat The Judgment Day and win the titles could happen as soon as WWE Evolution 2025, giving the fans a new team at the top of the women’s tag team division.

Undisputed WWE Championship – Cody Rhodes

At WWE Night of Champions 2025, Cody Rhodes defeated Randy Orton to win the King of the Ring Tournament Finals.

With this victory, “The American Nightmare” will now challenge John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2025.

In this WrestleMania 41 rematch, Rhodes might be more determined than ever to stop Cena’s quest to ruin wrestling and save the top prize in WWE from being retired with the legendary star.

Cody winning the Undisputed WWE Championship might be the perfect ending to SummerSlam 2025 and close the book on Cena’s heel run that started earlier this year in the process.
