WWE Elimination Chamber 2026 was the last premium live event on the road to WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19.
A few of the matches are now set but there are also still plenty of question marks to be answered over the few weeks.
Here is our currrent predicted card for WWE WrestleMania 42 following the Elimination Chamber.
Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton vs. Jacob Fatu – Undisputed WWE Championship

Randy Orton won the men’s Elimination Chamber match, so in theory, he is set to challenge Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania – but due to McIntyre getting involved in the Chamber finish between Orton and Cody Rhodes, Nick Aldis has decided that McIntyre must put his title on the line against Rhodes on the next episode of SmackDown.
Since it’s very unlikely that Rhodes won’t be in the title match at Mania, this match may result in a title change which would mean he goes into Mania as defending champion, or failing that, some kind of finish that means he gets one more shot at McIntyre, which would see him added to the Mania match as a challenger, so it could be a three-way.
However, Jacob Fatu has had issues with all three of McIntyre, Rhodes and Orton, and has people backstage pushing for him to be in the title picture, so he may find a way into the match as well. One other option would be Rhodes vs Orton for the title, and McIntyre vs Fatu as a separate match, but it would be harsh on McIntyre to just drop him from the title picture entirely.
There are even additional names like Sami Zayn, Trick Williams and Aleister Black who have been around the top of the card on SmackDown who could be added to make it more than a four-way, but Orton, Rhodes, McIntyre and Fatu seem like the top four candidates right now.

Brock Lesnar vs. LA Knight or Oba Femi

Paul Heyman announced on WWE Raw that Brock Lesnar will have a match at WrestleMania against anyone who feels like stepping up to him.
Original plans as of late January reportedly called for LA Knight to be Lesnar’s Mania opponent, and there’s every chance WWE sticks to those plans, as Knight’s issues with The Vision in recent months could be the connection to set the match up.
However, it was quite clear on Raw that fans want to see Oba Femi step up as Lesnar’s oppponent, and there’s still time to go in that direction.
The only question if that happens would be where that leaves Knight for Mania as he has no other real clear path to a match right now. If WWE was going to leave either Knight or Femi off the card, it would probably be Femi at this point in time.

Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker

Seth Rollins made his return at WWE Elimination Chamber, revealing he’s been the masked man attacking The Vision recently, costing Logan Paul the Chamber match.
Rollins also cost Breakker the Royal Rumble on January 31, with his attack meaning Breakker was attacked and eliminated instantly.
While Rollins is back from his injury, whether this match happens is now dependent on Breakker recovering from hernia surgery in time.
If not, Rollins could end up facing Paul instead in what would be a rematch from WrestleMania 39 – especially since Bronson Reed is also now out with an injury, leaving Paul and Austin Theory as the only members of The Vision currently standing.

The Usos vs. Logan Paul & Austin Theory – World Tag Team Championship

If Bron Breakker returns in time for the match against Seth Rollins, that likely means WWE would have to have a different match planned for Logan Paul.
The Usos are pretty void of challengers for the World Tag Team Championship on Raw right now, which is where Paul and Austin Theory of The Vision could step in.
With Jey Uso being attacked and taken out of Elimination Chamber – and Logan Paul being the ultimate beneficiary of that – there’s a clear path to set this match up.
It’s unclear whether The Vision were actually the perpetrators of the attack, but either way, Jey is likely to want some form of retribution, and this match may well be the way to do that.

CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns – World Heavyweight Championship

One match that is now fully official for WrestleMania 42 is the big main event between World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk and Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns.
Punk retained his title against Finn Balor at Elimination Chamber, he advances to defend against Reigns at Mania.
It has yet to be said officially due to WWE wanting to sell tickets to both nights, but it certainly seems as though this is planned to be the night two main event.
Reigns is set to make a number of appearances on Raw in the coming weeks to build up to the match, including March 2 in Indianapolis.

Dominik Mysterio vs. Finn Balor – Intercontinental Championship

One year ago at WrestleMania 41, Dominik Mysterio pinned Finn Balor in a four-way to become the Intercontinental Champion.
A year later, Mysterio enters Mania 42 as champion, and tensions have continued to build between himself and Balor for the past year.
For a second time, Balor shook Punk’s hand after their match at Elimination Chamber, so it appears he may truly be on course to turn babyface after he went back on it a few weeks ago.
Now might finally be the time to pull the trigger on the split of Judgment Day and a match between Mysterio and Balor.

Stephanie Vaquer vs. Liv Morgan – Women’s World Championship

Liv Morgan won the women’s Royal Rumble at her ninth attempt this year, earning her the right to choose which champion she wanted to face at WrestleMania.
Although she did take a few weeks to decide, Morgan did ultimately confirm she’s chosen to face Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.
While there wasn’t really a pre-existing issue between the two, things have been made personal in recent weeks, with Vaquer even bringing Morgan to tears with a scathing promo about how Morgan hasn’t had to work as hard as Vaquer to get where they are today.
In their most recent face-off, it was Morgan who stood tall after taking Vaquer out, standing above the reigning champion with the title belt held high.

Jade Cargill vs. Rhea Ripley – WWE Women’s Championship

With Liv Morgan choosing to challenge Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer at WrestleMania, that left Jade Cargill’s WWE Women’s Title challenger to be decided by the women’s Elimination Chamber.
The winner of the Chamber ended up being Rhea Ripley, so that match is now confirmed.
Ripley and IYO SKY had lost the Women’s Tag Team Championship to Lash Legend and Nia Jax the night before Ripley’s Chamber win.
The question is now whether WWE has a direction for SKY to get onto the Mania card or if she’ll end up being left out this year.

GUNTHER vs. Rey Mysterio

GUNTHER has been on a streak of retiring WWE legends, with wins over Goldberg, John Cena and AJ Styles in all of their final matches in recent months.
Since his win over Styles, GUNTHER has been targeted by Dragon Lee who’s looking to avenge his former World Tag Team Champion partner Styles.
It seems like GUNTHER is going to maul Dragon Lee some time soon, which could result in Rey Mysterio coming to his fellow luchador’s aid and setting up a Mania match against GUNTHER.
While it doesn’t seem like Mysterio is ready to retire, it would still fit the theme of GUNTHER looking to take out beloved legends.

AJ Lee vs. Becky Lynch – Women’s Intercontinental Championship

AJ Lee is now 3-0 against Becky Lynch, winning the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title from Lynch at Elimination Chamber.
On all three occasions Lee has made Lynch tap out to the Black Widow submission hold.
Given there were shenanigans with the referee at the end of their title match, it isn’t unlikely that there’ll be a rematch and it could well end up happening at Mania.
The only alteration is that there might be a stipulation added to differ it up from their Chamber match, whether it be a submission match, no DQ match or something else.

Women’s Tag Team Championship Match

It appears there are several women’s tag teams lining up for a potential multi-team match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania.
Nia Jax and Lash Legend are the new champions after defeating Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY on SmackDown.
Potential challengers include Bayley & Lyra Valkyria, Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez, The Bella Twins, Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair, the Kabuki Warriors, Chelsea Green & Alba Fyre, B-Fab & Michin, and Giulia & Kiana James.
Any other year it would be entirely possible that the Women’s Tag Title would be left off of Mania entirely, but largely due to the Bellas being involved and the popularity of several of the other teams, we could end up with something similar to the tag team turmoil match at WrestleMania 37.
