While a lot of the attention surrounding WWE WrestleMania 42 is centered on major championship bouts, there could certainly be interesting non-title matches yet to come.
From grudges that are seemingly poised to be settled to a longstanding mystery that could be solved in Las Vegas, there are some exciting prospects.
Here are six potential non-title matches that could still be added to WrestleMania 42.
6. El Grande Americano vs. The Original El Grande Americano – Mask vs. Mask

One non-title bout that could be a perfect addition to WrestleMania 42 has already been building for quite some time.
With Ludwig Kaiser taking the El Grande Americano persona to new heights in Chad Gable’s absence, there could certainly be a moment of reckoning on the way.
With the mask on the line, it would make complete sense for ‘The Original’ to pick up the loss and finally solve a longstanding mystery.
Unmasking to be revealed as Chad Gable, it could be a very fun start to a brand new iteration of the technical powerhouse in WWE after returning from injury.

5. Je’Von Evans vs. Kofi Kingston

Potentially giving Kofi Kingston a much needed route forward for WrestleMania 42, a non-title match against Je’Von Evans could be perfect.
Pitting two generational talents against one another, the pair could certainly be a show stealer on either night of the event.
Some seeds were planted for a potential future feud on the March 9 edition of WWE Raw with Kington offering Evans a place in The New Day.
In a gesture that could end up leading to either Evans rebuffing the offer and irritating Kingston or their temporary alliance which falls apart on the road to WrestleMania 42, there could be a lot of magic within this match.

4. Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi

Amongst the possible options for Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, one that fans continue to want to see is The Beast taking on The Ruler, Oba Femi.
With Femi still relatively new to the main roster scene in WWE, the major WrestleMania moment could certainly launch his career.
Since rumors persist that Brock Lesnar could be on the road to retirement, it may be that he begins to take on some of WWE’s rising stars on his way out of the company.
Able to host his own open series of open challenges, perhaps the most enjoyable option for Lesnar at WrestleMania 42 would be a series of surprises featuring both expected and unexpected names getting one shot at beating Brock Lesnar.

3. GUNTHER vs. R-Truth

With GUNTHER growing his Career Killer resume with being the final WWE opponent for Goldberg, John Cena and AJ Styles, perhaps he will add another legend to the list at WrestleMania 42.
Since R-Truth could retire from in-ring competition but remain a character on WWE TV, he could be the next to face GUNTHER in a big match.
With a series of other potential options for GUNTHER to face at the event, it could be the likes of Sheamus, The Miz or even Rey Mysterio.
There could be multiple non-title options on the table for The Ring General at Mania this year, but R-Truth would be a leading candidate.

2. LA Knight vs. Royce Keys

LA Knight was reportedly planned at one stage face off against Brock Lesnar at WWE WrestleMania 42.
However, with the help of Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar was announced to be hosting an Open Challenge at WrestleMania 42, potentially broadening the opponent field for Lesnar.
Meanwhile, there is still an intriguing new star that has yet to arrive on the main roster scene in Royce Keys.
Potentially able to use the bout to launch Keys on the main roster and give LA Knight a substantive feud for WrestleMania 42, both men can leave Las Vegas as winners regardless of who actually wins the match.

1. Drew McIntyre vs. Jacob Fatu – Sin City Street Fight

One grudge that seems poised to reach a violent conclusion at WrestleMania 42 could be that of Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu.
Potentially taking the stage in Las Vegas for a second year in a row of a Sin City Street Fight, Drew McIntyre could take aim at Fatu this time.
With Fatu and McIntyre continuing to feud including an interference from Fatu that arguably cost McIntyre the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes, the bad blood continues to flow.
Potentially looking to up the ante, this year’s version of the street fight could be even more extreme than McIntyre’s battle last year against Damian Priest.
