Now that the road to WrestleMania 42 is underway, the WWE fanbase are eagerly awaiting which legends will follow Stephanie McMahon into this year’s WWE Hall of Fame 2026.
From current WWE personnel to recently retired stars, there is a wide variety of different legends that could receive the esteemed honor of a Hall of Fame induction.
Here are nine potential WWE Hall of Fame 2026 inductees to be announced next.
9. Fit Finlay
Fit Finlay is one of the most respected figures in WWE today based on his years working behind the scenes for the promotion.
During his heyday, Finlay was known for his hard hitting physicality inside of the squared circle.
Whether it be his work in the European independents, WCW or WWE, Finlay was known as a pioneer for the current style that is popularized in pro wrestling right now.
Now that he is a trainer in the WWE Performance Center, it seems appropriate for Finlay to finally be honored in the Hall of Fame this year.

8. William Regal
Another backstage personnel within WWE that could finally be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year is William Regal.
After being released from WWE in 2022, Regal made his way to All Elite Wrestling and had a short, but memorable run with the company before returning to WWE at the beginning in 2023.
Now working as Vice President of Global Talent Development, Regal is someone that is more than worthy of a WWE Hall of Fame induction.
Considering everything he accomplished during his in-ring career and his contributions behind the scenes, Regal might finally be ready to be celebrated for everything he has brought to the pro wrestling world in the WWE Hall of Fame 2026.

7. Jazz
After previously serving as a guest trainer, Jazz announced last week that she has now officially joined WWE’s coaching staff at the Performance Center.
The former WWE Women’s Champion is considered a pioneer for what she has given to the wrestling world.
From her time in ECW to everything she has done in companies like TNA Wrestling and NWA, Jazz could be someone who is deserving of being inducted into the hallowed halls.
After getting her new role in the company, Jazz could be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame 2026 ceremony to be honored in a significant manner.

6. Mickie James
In 2025, Mickie James made her return to WWE as a coach on the LFG show on the A&E Network.
Unlike her fellow legends on the show, James has not been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the same vein as The Undertaker, Booker T and Bubba Ray Dudley.
James more than deserves to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Famer being a former six-time Women’s Champion and one of the more iconic names of the Divas era.
Whether it be her legendary rivalry with Trish Stratus or the great matches she had with the likes of Beth Phoenix and Melina, Mickie should be alongside the all-time greats in the WWE Hall of Fame.

5. AJ Styles
At WWE Royal Rumble 2026, GUNTHER defeated AJ Styles to retire from the company in a career threatening match.
Having a career that spans WCW, TNA Wrestling, Ring of Honor and WWE, Styles is recognized as one of the greatest in-ring performers in pro wrestling history.
“The Phenomenal One” seems at peace with his in-ring career and wants to end things on his terms.
With the announcement of his tribute coming on the February 23 WWE Raw, the company could announce Styles as one of the headliners for the Hall of Fame 2026 ceremony.

4. AJ Lee
In September 2025, AJ Lee made her return to WWE for the first time in over a decade.
The former WWE Divas Champion has since stepped back into the squared circle and showcased that she still has something left in the tank.
Lee’s return to the company could set the stage for her well deserved induction into the Hall of Fame.
Regarded as a pioneer of the Women’s Revolution, WWE could truly show this current generation of fans how important Lee was to the progression that women’s wrestling has experienced with a Hall of Fame induction this April in Las Vegas.

3. Chris Jericho
Chris Jericho has once again become one of the most talked about names in the pro wrestling industry.
With his AEW contract set to expire, Jericho potentially returning to WWE has garnered plenty of interest and conversation among the fans and pundits.
The inaugural AEW World Champion has established himself as one of the most influential figures in the company’s history as the first major signing when it was created.
Leaving AEW to return to WWE should help Jericho receive a Hall of Fame induction that almost feels long overdue at this point.

2. Bray Wyatt
In August 2023, the wrestling world was heartbroken to find out about the sudden passing of Bray Wyatt.
Considered one of the most creative talents in WWE history, Wyatt is someone who has been part of some of the most memorable storylines over the past decade and has been celebrated since his shocking passing.
The former WWE Universal Champion has felt like someone the company could honor with a Hall of Fame induction over the past few years.
With his brother Uncle Howdy Bo Dallas being part of the roster, he would make the perfect person to deliver the induction speech for Bray to enter the WWE Hall of Fame 2026 in Las Vegas this year.

1. John Cena
On the December 13 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, GUNTHER defeated John Cena to officially retire him from the company.
Ending his illustrious career in grand fashion, Cena received a farewell after a full year retirement tour that spanned all over the world.
“The Never Seen 17” time world champion was such a major part of 2025 for WWE that it would make sense if the company decided to have him headline the Hall of Fame ceremony.
Cena headlining the WWE Hall of Fame 2026 would be fitting and give him the spotlight one last time before he rides off in the sunset once and for all.
