With 11 titles active on the WWE main roster, there are a lot of moveable parts when considering the future holder of every championship.
However with both WrestleMania 41 and Backlash 2025 squarely in the rearview mirror, fans are looking ahead to Money in the Bank and the first-ever two-night SummerSlam.
Here are our predictions for the next holder of every championship in WWE.
Undisputed WWE Championship – Randy Orton

One more time! While he recently had a crack at John Cena at Backlash 2025, the match finish between Randy Orton and Cena was far from clean, seemingly suggesting that their feud could come back around again.
There were plenty of shenanigans involved, with ref bumps, an RKO spree to producers and Nick Aldis, and even a run-in from R-Truth, that ultimately led to Cena retaining his title.
If there is going to be someone to dethrone John Cena to save the WWE Championship from being taken upon Cena’s retirement, Randy Orton certainly has serious motivation.
With Orton already making it clear he was in the hunt for his 15th world championship – pulling away from his third-place tie with Triple H at 14 – he could actually be the legend killer WWE needs to take down John Cena.

United States Championship – Jeff Cobb

While Jeff Cobb made a surprise debut at WWE Backlash 2025 and technically assisted Jacob Fatu in retaining his title, he didn’t really seem to be there on behalf of Fatu at all.
Clearly a henchman for Solo Sikoa, there remains a hanging question mark regarding where the allegiances of the currently out of action Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa may align when they return from injury.
It seems that Solo Sikoa would be unlikely to get his hands dirty himself, rather send Cobb after Fatu and ensure his success through shenanigans.
Solo Sikoa remains an evil mastermind within the Bloodline 2.0 storyline – despite Fatu’s rise to popularity – and will not let go of control to Fatu easily, but may live to regret installing Jeff Cobb instead.

Women’s United States Championship – Alexa Bliss

The WWE Women’s United States Championship recently changed hands with Zelina Vega capturing the title from Chelsea Green on an episode of SmackDown.
Later, Vega would team with Alexa Bliss to take on Chelsea Green and Piper Niven in tag team action.
Showing off her ferocious attitude in the ring, Bliss was clearly operating with a renewed sense of rage percolating just beneath her strained smile.
While some motivation would need to be revealed eventually, it seems likely that Alexa Bliss will pick up a championship sometime soon, and that may come in the form of Vega’s US Title.

WWE Tag Team Championship – Matt & Jeff Hardy

The Street Profits were able to hang on to their recently won WWE Tag Team title after a brutal Tables, Ladders and Chairs match.
Teasing the possibility of another future TLC match, originators Matt and Jeff Hardy could return this summer, on loan from TNA Wrestling as part of the partnership between the companies.
With Nathan Frazer and Axiom already having experience in the ring with Matt and Jeff Hardy by way of their recent interactions in NXT and TNA, it would make sense to see them also in a TLC match for the titles at SummerSlam.
Perhaps the WWE Draft will shake things up and we’ll see other tag teams like American Made or New Day also join the bout which could be a complete night stealer at the first ever two-night SummerSlam event.

WWE Women’s Championship – Naomi

Of the women that are seemingly targeting current WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton – most notably Naomi, Jade Cargill and Nia Jax – Naomi would be a great choice.
While Jade Cargill did have a recent stare down with Stratton, having her be the one to dethrone the fan favorite Stratton could be a risky move.
However, there was a compelling element to Stratton’s rivalry with Charlotte Flair – accusing a younger talent of coming in and taking spots from people who have spent years earning it – that could be revisited by Naomi.
If the rumors are true about Evolution 2 occurring in July, Naomi would be an amazing choice to stand tall at the event, since her contribution to WWE over the past decade-plus can’t be denied.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship – The Bella Twins

Speaking of a title change that could be reserved for the speculated Evolution 2 in July, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship could next go to the returning Bella Twins.
When Nikki Bella made her in-ring return at Royal Rumble 2025, fans immediately began questioning whether twin sister Brie would make her own WWE comeback.
Since the original plans for the championship included a return run from The Bella Twins when it was first introduced in 2019, it would make sense for this story to come back around.
Even if the reign doesn’t end up being a long one, the Bella Twins could potentially bring more interest back into the women’s tag team division in WWE since recent departures have left it in a difficult situation.

Intercontinental Championship – Finn Balor

‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio won the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41 and then was able to retain against Penta at WWE Backlash 2025.
While the end of the Judgment Day seems inevitable, it is seemingly not set to occur for weeks if not months down the line.
With Balor clearly using an approach heavy in observation, the former Universal Champion is playing a long game with the faction, rather than reacting emotionally. Instead, when Dominik attempted to broach a discussion about having noticed a shift in Finn’s mood, Finn successfully turned it around on Dom.
Calling Dom paranoid and reminding him of Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest’s concerns about unity when they were champions in the group, Balor seems to be foreshadowing how he will turn on Dom just as he did Edge, Rhea and Damian before him.

Women’s Intercontinental Championship – Becky Lynch

While Lyra Valkyria has already come across strong in her feud with Becky Lynch, when they inevitably have another match, it seems it may be time for The Man to reign again.
For example, capturing a win at Saturday Night’s Main Event on NBC would bring tremendous visibility and capture intrigue for the next episode of Raw on Netflix.
With rumors of the WWE Draft set to occur at the end of May, it would seem totally possible that Becky Lynch could beat Valkyria in order to elevate another rising star from NXT who is being called up, like Roxanne Perez.
Setting the stage to then have a SummerSlam match potentially pitting Becky against Lyra and Roxanne – the Intercontinental Championship could pick up another winner in Roxanne Perez by the end of the Summer.

World Tag Team Championship – American Made

Speaking of shake-ups, hopefully American Made remains together as a faction – consisting of Chad Gable, The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed) and Ivy Nile, they are also known friends of El Grande Americano.
After defeating the War Raiders to become the #1 contenders to the New Day for the WWE World Tag Team Championship, American Made seem as though they could capture the titles next.
An amusing subplot could be Brutus Creed being taken out and subsequently replaced by El Grande Americano at Chad Gable’s suggestion – only for the pair of Julius and Chad to win the championship.
Then there could be a double reveal – who attacked Brutus Creed, but also, what is the true identity of El Grande Americano?!

Women’s World Championship – Asuka

While IYO SKY remains the current WWE Women’s World Champion, she faces stiff competition from new faces to the main roster, Giulia and Roxanne Perez.
The pair have vowed to not wait their turn on the main roster and are rather are taking their opportunities straight away, like targeting IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley.
With IYO SKY seeming confident about her abilities, it would make sense to see her successfully defend against Giulia and/or Perez before being met with an emotional return.
Both Asuka and Kairi Sane are set for potential returns in the near future, which could bring about a storyline in which one returns babyface and still aligned with IYO, while the other turns on them both – Asuka is amazing in any role but her heel work is particularly fun to watch and would make for an incredible series of matches between the three.

World Heavyweight Championship – Goldberg

While Jey Uso has a defense already lined up against Logan Paul at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, with the winner of that going on to face GUNTHER on the Raw after Money in the Bank, there are a couple interim steps that could go down.
Rather than jump right into a feud between Goldberg and GUNTHER – perhaps it will be Goldberg who dethrones fan favorite Jey Uso – maybe even with some help from GUNTHER.
Having Goldberg pick up the win at Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia provides several options for his retirement reign. Conceivably, Goldberg could hold the title between Night of Champions and SummerSlam – leading to a big multi-man match at the two-night event.
By that time having history with Jey Uso and GUNTHER – as well as real-life closeness with Bron Breakker – there could be an opportunity for Goldberg to put multiple stars on a new level of stardom on his way to retirement.
