WWE WrestleMania 42 is fast approaching and the company has already announced a lineup of major matchups for Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19.
While there will be plenty of action and memorable moments across the two-night event, there could also be some new factions forming with some of the top stars on the roster today.
Whether it be an altered version of a successful group or a new entity altogether, Mania could offer some interesting stables that may change the entire landscape of WWE moving forward.
Here are seven new WWE factions to potentially form at WrestleMania 42.
7. Dark World Order Led By Finn Balor

On the March 9 episode of WWE Raw, The Judgment Day turned on Finn Balor with a four-on-one attack on their former stablemate.
This led to Balor costing Dominik Mysterio his rematch for the Intercontinental Championship on the March 23 edition of Monday Night Raw.
Now that Balor will face “Dirty Dom” at WrestleMania 42, there could be some intriguing stories to tell with this grudge match.
While The Judgment Day will be in Mysterio’s corner, Balor could introduce his own faction like a Dark World Order of other supernatural personas similar to “The Demon” to counteract his former stablemates at Mania.
6. A New Trick-Melo Gang

On the March 27 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Sami Zayn defeated Carmelo Hayes to win the WWE United States Championship thanks to an accidental assist from Trick Williams.
Following his victory, Zayn is now scheduled to face Williams for the US Title at WrestleMania 42.
While he was the reason for Hayes’ loss, Trick has a long history and friendship with Melo that dates back to their days on WWE NXT.
The two former NXT Champions reuniting to form a new Trick-Melo Gang would be fitting given how important they’ve been to each other’s careers and could help one of them walk out as US Champion at WrestleMania 42.
5. Oba Femi Creates His Own Tribe To Rule

Ever since making his WWE main roster debut, Oba Femi has been presented as a future top star and someone who could stand atop of the entire company for years to come.
Known as “The Ruler,” Femi looks destined to be a future world champion and WrestleMania headliner in the near future.
Considering everything he accomplished during his time in NXT, it would make sense for Femi to lead others at some point in his career.
Femi creating his own tribe to rule would make a ton of sense and be the next step in establishing himself with the main event picture in WWE coming out of WrestleMania 42.

4. Asuka Brings Kairi Sane & Giulia Together As Her Protégés In A New Group

On the road to WrestleMania 42, it seems like the domineering attitude that Asuka has put on display towards her protégé Kairi Sane has gotten under IYO SKY’s skin.
This seems to lay the groundwork for a potential showdown between Asuka and IYO for WrestleMania 42.
“The Empress of Tomorrow” has provided guidance for not just Kairi and IYO in the past, but she has also been a mentor to Giulia.
Creating her own faction with Sane and Giulia, Asuka could become a leader to a stable of stars who will be focused on putting her back on top of the WWE women’s division once again.
3. Rhea Ripley Forms Group To Battle Jade Cargill’s New Faction

On the March 20 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Jade Cargill aligned herself with Michin and B-Fab to beat down Rhea Ripley.
Forming her own group, Cargill has put Ripley in a firm disadvantage heading into their battle over the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 42.
Wanting to even the odds heading into their title showdown, Ripley could find some allies who might help her win some gold at “The Show of Shows.”
Whether it be IYO SKY or her countrywoman ZARIA from NXT, Rhea has some options that will allow her to counteract this threat and form a new stable that will fight against Cargill’s new partners.

2. Roman Reigns Reunites With The Usos To Form A New Bloodline

In the lead up to WrestleMania 42, things have gotten extremely personal between CM Punk and Roman Reigns.
While the mutual hatred was already on display between Punk and Reigns right from the get go, Punk took things too far when he said he planned on burying “The OTC” next to his late father.
This led to The Usos inserting themselves into this rivalry heading into WrestleMania 42 and wanting an apology from Punk for his disrespect.
Now that they are firmly involved, The Usos could be the key to Roman walking out of Mania with the World Heavyweight Championship and also reuniting the cousins to form a new version of The Bloodline.
1. Randy Orton’s New Legacy Or Evolution

Another former faction that may just reform come WrestleMania 42 seems to be one of Randy Orton’s old groups.
After winning the Men’s Elimination Chamber to earn a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 42, “The Legend Killer” turned heel on his friend Cody Rhodes in a brutal and bloody beatdown.
Orton then started receiving phone calls from a mystery backer who helped him realize who he truly is by reminding “The Viper” that he is a killer.
This mystery supporter could be revealed to anyone from Ted Dibiase Jr. to his father “Cowboy” Bob Orton to form a new Legacy or Evolution coming out of this year’s “Showcase of the Immortals.”
