WWE has recently been filing trademarks for certain name changes for different talent on the roster.
Whether it be longstanding members of the WWE roster or newer stars who recently signed, these names will be altered to fit how the company wants to present the talent moving forward.
New presentations and personas being introduced could provide a larger spotlight for these WWE stars if given the proper time to help establish them, similar to what has been seen with Natalya becoming Nattie recently.
Here are six more WWE name changes potentially coming soon.
6. Eli Knight – EK Prosper

On March 31, WWE filed an official trademark for the name “EK Prosper” to be used on a talent on the roster.
This name will be used for the newest addition to the WWE NXT roster in Eli Knight.
In October 2025, Knight signed a WWE ID contract and started appearing on the Evolve brand. It did not take too long before Knight began to become a presence on the NXT brand as well.
With the similarities between his name and LA Knight’s, WWE is making a smart choice in changing the 23 year old star’s name to EK Prosper moving forward.
5. Shiloh Hill – Thunder Justice

Making his debut on the WWE LFG show, Shiloh Hill made a good first impression, showing off a distinct look and a unique personality.
Gaining guidance with The Undertaker, Hill went on to win the second season of WWE LFG and earn his NXT contract.
Since then, Hill has made his mark on WWE NXT with his eccentric character having a consistent presence on the brand over the past few months.
However, WWE could take Hill’s push to the next level by allowing him to use his real life name in Thunder Justice as his ring name on the company’s programming, feeling like this taps into what he offers more than his current moniker.
4. Uriah Connors – Uriah Finlay

Lexis King has been in the process of bringing other second, third and fourth generation talent together in his own group.
After aligning with Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Arianna Grace, King recruited Uriah Connors from Chase U to join their unit.
Connors is the son of Fit Finlay and someone who has shown a great deal of improvement since making his debut on the WWE NXT brand.
Considering the recent return of his father to WWE TV, it would make sense for Uriah to get his Finlay last name to fully embrace his lineage in The Birthright.

3. Charlie Dempsey – Charlie Regal

Speaking of Birthright, King further bolstered the ranks of the stable by convincing Charlie Dempsey to join his creation.
Dempsey has long been one of the best in-ring technicians on the WWE NXT brand and makes Birthright a more credible stable as a result.
Alongside Fit Finlay, William Regal also made his return to WWE TV to bring his son into the fold with Birthright.
Dempsey finally becoming Charlie Regal would be fitting to see him accept the legacy that his father has in WWE and the wrestling business overall.
2. Bron Breakker – Bron Steiner

Another generational talent who has not fully embraced their lineage in the business since making his debut in WWE is Bron Breakker.
While WWE has never been shy in acknowledging his father and uncle, Breakker has had his own persona and ring name that separates himself from his family.
With Rick and Scott Steiner having such an influence on who he is today, Breakker could finally adopt his real life surname.
Considering he has Paul Heyman by his side, Breakker becoming Bron Steiner may just be the last minor addition that he needs to cement himself as the next top star in WWE today.
1. Cody Rhodes – Captain Rhodes

In 2026, Natalya announced her change in attitude and heel turn by changing her name to simply Nattie.
More WWE talents could be next to change their name to signal a massive alteration in their character.
In recent months, Cody Rhodes has been garnering more boos than he has become accustomed to since making his return to WWE back in 2022.
Rhodes turning heel and becoming “Captain Rhodes” could see him become the pro wrestling version of “The Boys” TV show’s lead villain, Homelander, thinking he is the hero, while being a deplorable and selfish heel out for his own good.
