WWE WrestleMania 42 is fast approaching with just over five weeks ahead of “The Show of Shows” in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The company has already announced four big time title matches for the card on April 18 and 19, but there are plenty more championship bouts to be announced in the weeks before.
Whether it be long term feuds culminating or multi-person action deciding new champions, there will be a number of stars who take the spotlight on “The Grandest Stage of Them All.”
Here are seven more WWE Championship matches to be potentially added to WrestleMania 42.
WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Street Fight: AJ Lee (c) vs. Becky Lynch
Ever since returning to WWE in September 2025, AJ Lee has been making Becky Lynch’s life a living hell.
After making “The Man” tap out twice in 2025, Lee returned and looked to take her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
At WWE Elimination Chamber 2026, Lee defeated Lynch to win the title in her adopted hometown of Chicago, Illinois.
Now she is the champion, it feels like Lee will defend the gold against Lynch in a Street Fight rematch at WWE WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match: Penta (c) vs. The Original El Grande Americano vs. El Grande Americano vs. Dragon Lee vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Je’Von Evans
On the March 2 edition of Monday Night Raw, Penta defeated Dominik Mysterio to win the Intercontinental Championship.
Now holding his first title in WWE, Penta feels like he is riding a level of momentum that he has not achieved before in the company.
Meanwhile, there are several names on the WWE Raw roster chasing the title over the past few weeks and months, including The Original El Grande Americano, El Grande Americano, Je’Von Evans and more.
With the likes of Dragon Lee and Kofi Kingston who could also be included, the Intercontinental Title could be defended in a massive ladder match that might just steal the show at WrestleMania 42.

WWE Tag Team Championships: The MFTs (Solo Sikoa & Tama Tonga) (c) vs. Damian Priest & R-Truth vs. The Wyatt Sicks (Joe Gacy & Dexter Lumis)
On the March 6 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Damian Priest and R-Truth defeated Los Garza, The Wyatt Sicks, Fraxiom and Motor City Machine Guns in Tag Team Turmoil to become the number one contender for the WWE Tag Team Championships.
This sets Priest and Truth up to get a shot at the gold on the road to WrestleMania 42, but that bout might not be enough.
Considering these two factions have been feuding for months, The Wyatt Sicks and The MFTs should be involved in a match at WrestleMania 42.
Adding Truth and Priest into the mix, WWE could present a three-way match for the tag gold on “The Grandest Stage of Them All.”

WWE Women’s United States Championship: Giulia (c) vs. IYO SKY
The February 20 episode of WWE SmackDown was set to feature a first time singles meeting in the company between Giulia and IYO SKY.
This bout was abruptly scrapped from the lineup with Rhea Ripley being inserted in place of SKY against the reigning WWE Women’s United States Champion.
In retrospect, this move could have been done to save this tantalizing matchup for a bigger stage like WrestleMania 42.
With her tag team partner Rhea Ripley challenging Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship at “The Show of Shows,” IYO should step up to challenge Giulia for the Women’s US Title at the same event in Las Vegas this April.

WWE United States Championship: Carmelo Hayes (c) vs. Trick Williams
Ever since capturing the WWE United States Championship, Carmelo Hayes has worked to establish himself as a fighting champion and workhorse.
Consistently defending his title against anyone, Hayes has garnered successful defenses against the likes of Rey Fenix, Ilja Dragunov and TNA’s Leon Slater.
Meanwhile, Trick Williams has quickly become one of the fastest rising stars in all of WWE today, garnering some of the loudest ovations from the crowd on every episode of SmackDown.
Looking to get his first title on the main roster, Trick would be a wonderful choice to challenge Hayes for the US Championship based off their previous history from their time in WWE NXT.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax & Lash Legend) (c) vs. Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs. Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) vs. The Judgment Day (Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez) vs. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria vs. The Bella Twins (Brie & Nikki Bella)
On the February 27 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, The Irresistible Forces defeated RHIYO to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
Now sitting atop of the women’s tag team division, Nia Jax and Lash Legend will now have plenty of duos gunning for their titles.
On SmackDown, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss became number one contenders for the titles, while on Raw, there are the likes of The Kabuki Warriors, The Judgment Day, The Bella Twins and Bayley and Lyra Valkyria who want their opportunities at the gold.
The Irresistible Forces defending in a six way at WrestleMania 42 would be interesting and make it an unpredictable match that anyone could walk out with the titles this April.

WWE World Tag Team Championships: The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) (c) vs. The Vision (Logan Paul & Austin Theory)
Ahead of WWE Elimination Chamber 2026, Jey Uso was attacked backstage by a mystery attacker that removed him from the Men’s Elimination Chamber match.
With The Vision showing up on that same episode of SmackDown and Logan Paul taking his place in the Chamber, The Usos have turned their ire towards Paul Heyman’s faction on Monday Night Raw over the past couple of weeks.
The Usos have been feuding with The Vision for the better part of a year with the duo facing the likes of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed on multiple occasions.
Considering WrestleMania 42 is only weeks away, it seems more than likely that The Vision’s Logan Paul and Austin Theory will challenge The Usos for the World Tag Team Championships in Las Vegas this April.
