With TNA Wrestling alum Ace Austin being revealed as the latest addition to the AEW roster, there are other top free agents who could sign as well.
From those who have recently parted ways with WWE to others who continue to make a big name for themselves in the indies – there still some intriguing free agents that AEW could look at signing.
Here are six free agents that could potentially be signed by AEW.
6. Karrion Kross
One of the biggest stories in professional wrestling over the last month has ended up surrounding Karrion Kross.
With Kross and real-life wife Scarlett’s WWE contracts apparently expiring without s new contract being signed, the pair are free agents.
While Kross shared with Ariel Helwani in an interview that he is still hopeful to spend his future in WWE, perhaps he will be able to be courted away by Tony Khan.
Possibly looking to strike while the iron is hot in regards to his appeal with fans, Karrion Kross and Scarlett could make an appearance in AEW.

5. Dakota Kai
One potential free agent who was recently released from WWE is Dakota Kai.
With veteran experience as well as being a fan favorite, there seems to be a lot of upside in signing Kai.
Able to fit in with an aggressive and technical style in AEW, she could quickly become a top contender in the women’s division.
Given her history of experience outside of WWE including STARDOM, she could be a potential surprise at the upcoming pay-per-view AEW Forbidden Door 2025.

4. Shayna Baszler
Another recently departed WWE star that could find themselves in AEW is Shayna Baszler.
With her ‘Queen of Spades’ character in NXT having been a dominating force in the women’s division, Baszler would go on to find more tag team acclaim than singles success on the main roster.
Potentially poised to link up with the likes of Marina Shafir on-screen, Baszler could make an iconic addition to the Death Riders.
Also able to strike out on her own in the women’s division as a singles star, Baszler would provide an additional layer of brutality and violence to the already formidable AEW women’s division.

3. Michael Oku
One name that has come up before amongst fans speculating on new AEW signings is British wrestling star Michael Oku.
Despite rumors from last August that both Michael Oku and his real life partner Amira were close to signing deals with AEW – it didn’t seem to come to pass.
Oku appeared on an episode of Dynamite as well as popping up in ROH but is not reportedly signed by the company.
A compelling performer, Oku would be a great get for AEW.

2. Mad Dog Connelly
An indie star that continues to gain acclaim for his penchant for violence is Mad Dog Connelly.
Making his name for his aggressive and hard hitting style, Connelly has garnered attention in independent wrestling.
A professed ‘King of the Dog Collar match’, Connelly could certainly bring his frightening edge to AEW after having recently appeared on a ROH crossover tribute show.
Seemingly a good fit for AEW to take on the likes of Jon Moxley and the Death Riders, Connelly could also debut as a ruthless hired gun for anyone currently on the roster.

1. 1 Called Manders
One free agent that fans continue to expect to pop-up on TV is 1 Called Manders.
Competing around independent wrestling including GCW and MLW, 1 Called Manders seems poised for continued success.
A compelling performer with a vintage character – hopefully he ends up picked up by AEW or WWE in the future.
While the star would seemingly be a fit in NXT, it could be that AEW ends up picking him up instead.
