Following the ending of WWE Clash In Paris 2025, there has been more and more talk this week about the possibility of AJ Lee returning to the company to team up with her husband CM Punk.
After seeing Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch come together under The Vision banner, Lee may come back into the fold for a big time mixed tag team match at the upcoming WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025 event.
Considering rumors that she will appear on this Friday’s SmackDown from Chicago, it should be interesting to see how plans pan out on this episode for Punk and AJ.

6. Seth Rollins Calls Out AJ Lee
On the September 1 edition of WWE Raw, Becky Lynch interrupted and confronted CM Punk in a promo segment.
Ridiculing “The Best In The World,” Lynch blamed Punk for causing the fans to disrespect her matches by chanting his name and for making her husband’s life a living hell.
After Seth Rollins distracted his rival, Becky proceeded to slap Punk and further taunt him before he issued a warning to the power couple.
Seeing how Becky addressed Punk, it would not be surprising to see this formula used again by having Rollins be the one to call out and taunt AJ Lee to get back in the squared circle.

5. Chicago Helps CM Punk Ask AJ Lee To Come Out Of Retirement
Following his segment with Becky Lynch on Raw, CM Punk proceeded to ask Adam Pearce where this Friday’s SmackDown would take place from with Chicago being his answer.
After seeing Punk smile over this fact, it became clear that “The Second City Saint” has something special planned for the show.
Punk returning to Chicago to convince his wife AJ Lee to come out of retirement could become a show-long angle.
Using his hometown to his advantage, Punk can ask for help from the fans in attendance to convince his wife that the time is right for an in-ring return at WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025.

4. CM Punk Tells Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch That He’s Bringing AJ Lee To WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025
Seth Rollins has made things very personal between him and CM Punk by inserting his wife Becky Lynch into their bitter rivalry.
Now that his family is involved, Seth has opened the door for Punk to get his family into their affairs as well.
WWE may want to keep AJ Lee off of television if they want to save the sight of the legend stepping back in the ring for the ESPN premiere premium live event.

After CM Punk teased his appearance on the September 5 edition of WWE SmackDown, The Vision may have the drop on him.
Ever since forming their group, Seth Rollins, Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed have been a thorn in the side of Punk over on Monday Night Raw.
With Punk showing up on the blue brand, Rollins and Lynch may want to cut him off and jump him on SmackDown this week.
This should lead to AJ Lee making the save for her husband and stepping back in the squared circle to get her hands on Becky.

2. Becky Lynch Taunts CM Punk & AJ Lee
Becky Lynch did an excellent job of getting under the skin of CM Punk on the September 1 episode of Monday Night Raw.
After being slapped multiple times, “The Best In The World” promised to make Seth Rollins regret cashing in on him and to make Becky regret putting her hands on him.
With this Friday’s SmackDown taking place from Chicago, AJ Lee may be in attendance for whatever her husband has planned for the show.
However, Lee could get Becky coming out instead to taunt Lee and goad Lee to get back in the ring to square off with her and her husband at the upcoming WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025 PLE.

1. CM Punk Brings In Big E To Convince AJ Lee To Return
There have been several big names in WWE that have a lengthy history with AJ Lee that her husband can call on right now.
Chief among those currently with WWE that knows AJ very well is former New Day member Big E.
Now that E isn’t an active in-ring competitor, Punk has the chance to call upon the former WWE Champion to help him convince his wife to come out of retirement.
