With WWE WrestleMania 42 fast approaching in less than six weeks, there still hasn’t been a confirmed opponent for LA Knight.
Since it seems likely the fan favorite star will eventually make his way onto the card for the two-night event, there are still plenty of intriguing options for who he could face in Las Vegas.
Here are seven potential opponents for LA Knight at WWE WrestleMania 42.
7. Austin Theory
With LA Knight clearly still having bad blood with The Vision faction, it could make sense to see him take on their latest recruit, Austin Theory.
After Knight seemingly abducted Paul Heyman, WWE fans await an update regarding what could be next for the faction but Theory has made his feelings about the attack known. Taking to social media to share his well wishes for Paul Heyman, it could be that Theory comes for LA Knight.
Alternatively, there could be another member of The Vision that could tangle with LA Knight after previously having plenty of run-ins – Logan Paul.
With the duo having already engaged in a fun feud, it could be that their next go around proves to be a grittier and more personal affair.

6. Brock Lesnar
One rumored potential foe for LA Knight at WWE WrestleMania 42 is Brock Lesnar.
Given LA Knight’s ongoing feud with The Vision culminating in seemingly abducting Paul Heyman – who was put into an ambulance revealed to be driven by Knight – Lesnar may have good reason to strike.
Looking to avenge Heyman’s attack by Seth Rollins, Lesnar could certainly look to target LA Knight in the absence of The Visionary.
With Lesnar already set for numerous appearances on the road to WrestleMania 42 kicking off on March 16, their conflict could be coming soon.

5. Kofi Kingston
One potentially overlooked legend that remains in top shape on the WWE roster is Kofi Kingston.
Doing some incredibly compelling heel work since The New Day turned heel in December 2024, Kingston could be a great foil to LA Knight.
With each boasting incredible in-ring and mic skills, the feud could feel fresh and original in an otherwise at-times predictable build to WrestleMania 42.
In need of storylines that haven’t already been leaked, something out of the blue for Knight would be perfect.

4. Dominik Mysterio
After losing the Intercontinental Championship on WWE Raw to Penta, it could be that a brand new direction is next for Dirty Dominik Mysterio.
Now looking to break the curse put on him by Danhausen, there wouldn’t need to be much more rationale for Mysterio to target LA Knight other than that.
Using a faulty tip from Danhausen on how to break ‘the curse’, Dominik Mysterio could find himself starting a fight that he ultimately doesn’t want.
Leading to a number of enjoyable spots on the road to WrestleMania 42 and likely an enjoyable match, Knight would be one of the few stars that could compete for the affection of fans in Las Vegas who last year reacted to Mysterio with thunderous applause when he beat Finn Balor, Bron Breakker and Penta to win the IC Title.

With Joe Hendry retaining the NXT Championship at WWE Vengeance Day 2026, it could be that his feud Ricky Saints doesn’t continue.
Ricky Saints would not only make an excellent potential addition to The Vision, but it could also end up being that he is the perfect future feud for LA Knight.
With each suffering criticism that their cadence and style feel similar to The Rock, the pair could square off in a compelling feud that serves the purpose of shaking off that narrative from both.
Able to craft their own story together, Knight could benefit from taking on a grittier edge in pursuit of attacking the charming Saints.

2. Oba Femi
The two top rumored opponents Brock Lesnar at WWE WrestleMania 42 have been LA Knight and Oba Femi.
While Knight vs Lesnar could tie into The Vision storyline, fans seem to be demanding Femi as Lesnar’s opponent in a big man vs big man match.
One possibility to make sure everyone gets on the card would be a three-way match with all men involved.
In what could be a star making performance for Femi, he could still come out looking strong in defeat giving a path forward for an ongoing feud between Femi and Lesnar, while also giving Knight a much needed victory.

Since there seems to be a lot of WrestleMania 42 plans up in the air, perhaps fans will have to continue to wait on the arrival of Chris Jericho.
With LA Knight exuding charisma and sports entertainment kavorka, it could be that the only possible rival for him at WrestleMania could be the returning legend.
Since the future plans for Jericho remain yet to be revealed, if his contractual agreements with AEW come to a close ahead of this year’s WrestleMania, perhaps he could be a last minute surprise to take on Knight.
Able to launch into a more robust feud in the future, the moment could serve as a major tipping point in WWE with Jericho able to arrive as a hero but possibly leave Las Vegas a scoundrel if he shows his heelish side against fan favorite LA Knight.
