Kevin Owens took to social media today to post a short clip of himself working out at the WWE Performance Center.

From taking on a new role backstage to reigniting old rivalries upon his potential return, there are a variety of compelling options for what Kevin Owens could do next in WWE.

Here are seven potential return plans in WWE for Kevin Owens.

7. WWE Raw Or SmackDown GM

While Kevin Owens excited fans by his recent post – where he is seen jogging frontwards and backwards at the Performance center – his return to in-ring action is still likely a long time away.

Rather than making an immediate return to the ring, Owens could return to TV in another role instead.

Potentially trying his hand at serving as the WWE Raw or SmackDown General Manager, KO could flex his comedic muscles ahead of eventually returning to action.

Of course, his colleagues would anger him to a point of violence which would likely be how he makes his way to in-ring competition.

6. Team With Sami Zayn

On-again and off-again, there is no friendship in WWE quite like the one between Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens.

While Kevin Owens’ last match in WWE was a brutal and violent street fight against Sami Zayn, by the time he returns it could be very different.

Potentially returning to the aid of Zayn, Kevin Owens and Sani Zayn could go on a tag team run in a new era of the division.

With the potential return of Matt & Jeff Hardy, the reunion of The Usos and the continued ferocity of The New Day, the pair of Owens & Zayn could reunite as fan favorite babyfaces in the current tag team division.

5. Target Joe Hendry

Something that came out of Kevin Owens’ misfortune of missing WrestleMania 41 was that it opened up a vacancy in the card for someone to face off against Randy Orton.

In the end, the surprise would end up yielding the WrestleMania debut of then-TNA Wrestling World Champion, Joe Hendry.

There could be a case to be made for KO to want to target Hendry for having taken the opportunity, even though Hendry wasn’t directly responsible.

In the event Joe Hendry is already on the main roster by the time Owens returns, he could find himself on the wrong side of a heel Owens.

4. Team With Chris Jericho

A prospect that seemed unlikely when kEVIN Owens was last in action could be a reality by the time he returns – teaming in WWE with Chris Jericho.

Seeing the duo reunited on-screen could be a fun return rivalry for Owens, but also one that could see both men play compelling in-between roles where neither is a pure babyface or heel in their complex dynamic.

Despite their friendship imploding in spectacular fashion back in 2017, it seems the pair remain real-life pals, recently posting to social media at an ice hockey game together.

This would be an on-screen pairing that could begin friendly and again turn sour in a very public way.

3. Still Feuding With Randy Orton

A heel option for Kevin Owens’ return could be reigniting his feud with Randy Orton.

Their planned WrestleMania 41 grudge match was set to be a vicious one before it ended up scrapped with Owens on the shelf.

That is, of course, if Randy Orton is still a babyface by the time Owens is back, which isn’t entirely certain.

With the looming potential to turn on Cody Rhodes to capture his 15th world title, Orton could be a heel trying to protect his Undisputed WWE Championship, with Owens likely to be a babyface upon his comeback.

2. Taking Out Cody Rhodes

One of Kevin Owens’ most intense feuds in recent memory was his battles with Cody Rhodes.

In their heated rivalry, Owens even managed to get his hands on the classic ‘Winged Eagle’ WWE Championship that was brought back for Saturday Night’s Main Event which only ramped up their drama.

Even if Rhodes isn’t still the Undisputed WWE Champion when Owens makes his return, there could still be a case to made for why he would target Cody.

Blaming Cody for his time away from the ring, Owens could definitely take his unhinged heel side to new heights in 2026.

1. Abducted By The Wyatt Sicks

You know who has a very bad friendship history in WWE – Kevin Owens.

Having turned on nearly everyone he has expressed on-screen fondness towards, it would make sense for the righteous mission of the Wyatt Sicks to come back around to target Owens.

It could be a unique spin on a return to have a slow reveal of who the Wyatt Sicks had abducted, with a complex puzzle of clues pointing to different points in Kevin Owens’ heel journey.
