With Jelly Roll making his WWE return on SmackDown, fans are wondering if he is going to end up in a big match at WrestleMania 42.

After surprising fans with his agility and commitment in his SummerSlam 2025 bout teaming with Randy Orton against Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre, this time he may be hunting for a new partner.

Here are six WWE stars that could team up with Jelly Roll at WrestleMania 42 to take on The Miz and Kit Wilson after their SmackDown confrontation.

6. Matt Cardona

After returning to WWE last year, Matt Cardona has been presented largely as a babyface.

Since he could easily link up with Jelly Roll in order to take on The Miz and Kit Wilson, the feud is already baked in.

With Wilson and Cardona already tangling over ‘toxic masculinity’, it could be that their rivalry comes back around at WrestleMania 42.

Certainly entertaining and charismatic enough to carry any partner, Cardona’s partnership with Jelly Roll could be not only a lot of fun but also the perfect conduit for future crossovers.

5. Danhausen

One hilarious tag team partner for Jelly Roll could be the Very Nice, Very Evil new star taking over WWE – Danhausen.

Already referring to Jelly Roll on screen as “Jimmy Jam”, Danhausen has offered his support to The Miz, but the A-Lister continues to rebuff him.

With Danhausen trying to convince The Miz as to why he should be his WWE mentor, it could end up that rather than rolling with the veteran, he joins Jelly Roll instead.

Able to put on a technically solid comedy match for the WrestleMania 42 crowd, it would be the perfect way to bring Danhausen onto the ‘grandest stage of them all’.

4. Royce Keys

The latest report on Royce Keys’ potential plans for WrestleMania 42 point to a very big spot on the card for the brand new star.

Rumors have circulated that Royce Keys could be tapped to partner with Jelly Roll at the event to take on The Miz and Kit Wilson.

Plans reportedly call for the duo to bond on-screen over having been resilient in the face of adversity, after Keys recently documented his life story on Stephanie McMahon’s podcast.

Giving the brand new star a high profile moment WrestleMania but without the pressure of a major singles debut could be the perfect way for Royce Keys to get into WWE action.

3. Joe Hendry

This year, there is a notable change to the scheduling of WrestleMania 42 weekend with the NXT event Stand & Deliver no longer held on WrestleMania Saturday.

Instead, Stand & Deliver will stand alone as a separate premium live event on April 4, leaving plenty of time in between for some NXT stars to get involved in main roster storylines.

After making his WrestleMania debut last year at WrestleMania 41 when he answered an open challenge issued by Randy Orton, current NXT Champion Joe Hendry could definitely join forces with Jelly Roll.

Able to blend Hendry’s penchant for musically themed insults with Jelly Roll’s massive musical success, there could be an amazing concert roasting The Miz and Kit Wilson in the weeks before WrestleMania 42.

2. LA Knight

One fan favorite star in WWE that has yet to stake a claim to an official WrestleMania 42 match is LA Knight.

Potentially being a great partner to link up with Jelly Roll, the Megastar could be the perfect addition to the celebrity match.

With reports that original plans saw LA Knight set to take on Brock Lesnar in Las Vegas, nothing has been confirmed yet on-screen.

Something big for LA Knight is still likely to be revealed in the coming weeks on WWE Raw, and even with the impending arrival of a string of preannounced dates for Brock Lesnar, partnering with Jelly Roll is an option.

1. Chris Jericho

Until Chris Jericho makes an appearance in any specific professional wrestling company, he is seemingly likely to pop up just about anywhere.

While most fans are under the belief that Jericho has left his AEW days behind and is simply awaiting for the end of his current contract with the company to end in order to re-sign with WWE, there has still yet to be any official confirmation.

However, one way to bring Jericho back in a big way would be for him to be revealed as a mystery partner for Jelly Roll at WrestleMania 42.

Sharing the connection of music, perhaps both Jelly Roll and Jericho could sing themselves to the ring with a precedent for Chris Jericho’s ability to complete that feat at AEW All In 2023.
