WWE has prepared themselves for the future with a number of new stars that are going to be in WrestleMania main events for years to come.

Along with those future top level talent, the company also has several main event stars who are still going strong.

This should lead to a number of different options that could potentially headline WrestleMania events in the near future.

Here are 10 potential future WWE WrestleMania main events.

10. Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes

At WrestleMania 39 and 40, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes faced one another in the main events of both shows over the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Since Rhodes finished his story and won the top prize in the company, the two megastars have not collided in singles competition in the two years since then.

At WWE Clash In Italy 2026, Reigns made remarks about Cody’s “QB1” nickname after picking up a win over Jacob Fatu in the main event, while Rhodes responded on the post-show, leading to a brief tense staredown between the two backstage.

With the company seemingly teasing a future showdown between the two, it feels inevitable that fans will see Rhodes and Reigns face off in a future WrestleMania main event sooner rather than later.

9. Roxanne Perez vs. Kendal Grey

Looking at the current WWE women’s division, the company has assembled a litany of young stars that can be top stars for years to come.

On the WWE main roster, Roxanne Perez has established herself as someone who has all the makings of a future world champion at just 24 years old.

Meanwhile, Kendal Grey has become the fastest rising star regardless of gender on the WWE NXT brand and is only 24 years old herself.

Knowing these two ladies have years and years ahead of them, it feels likely that WWE could pull the trigger on their next all-women’s WrestleMania main event with Grey and Perez on top in the near future.

8. Roman Reigns vs. GUNTHER

Over the past few years, there is probably no other star on the WWE roster who has done more to cement themselves as a new main event level talent quite like GUNTHER.

Between his record-breaking 666-day reign as Intercontinental Champion, two reigns as World Heavyweight Champion and ending the careers of multiple legends like John Cena, “The Ring General” has risen to a top position in WWE.

Meanwhile, Roman Reigns remains as the biggest star in all of WWE and currently holds the World Heavyweight Championship.

While he might not have a ton of years left in the promotion, Reigns feels like the most likely candidate who could headline a WrestleMania against GUNTHER somewhere down the line.

7. Bron Breakker vs. Jacob Fatu

When looking at the young stars on the WWE roster, there might not be two more intimidating forces like Bron Breakker and Jacob Fatu.

Breakker has been pegged for success since signing with WWE, causing many legends and pundits to call him a future WrestleMania main eventer.

Meanwhile, Jacob Fatu has been placed in prominent feuds and stories since making his WWE debut in 2024.

After teasing a collision course briefly two years ago, it feels like Breakker and Fatu could be one of those matches that WWE is waiting to pull the trigger on when the time is right for a future WrestleMania main event.

6. Oba Femi vs. Trick Williams

Since rising up the ranks in WWE NXT, many fans and those within the company have pointed to Oba Femi and Trick Williams as future top stars.

Making their way to the main roster at the start of 2026, there has been no question that Femi and Williams have become breakout stars on Raw and SmackDown.

Femi is currently riding a wave of momentum with some of the loudest crowd reactions coming off the heels of his victory over Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, while Williams is the current United States Champion and one of the most popular stars in WWE.

While they faced on many occasions in three-way or multi-man action in NXT, Trick and Oba only faced each other one-on-one once, making it a protected matchup that would work well down the line in a headlining spot at WrestleMania.

5. Rhea Ripley vs. IYO SKY

Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY went from competitive rivals to best friends and tag team partners over the past year.

Becoming known as RHIYO, the two popular babyfaces made a formidable pairing that went on to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions to start 2026.

Over the years, Ripley and SKY have battled one another over championship gold whether it be on WWE NXT or the main roster.

With “Mami” never being able to score a win over “The Genius of the Sky” in singles competition, it sets the stage for a multi-year story to be paid off between Rhea and IYO in the main event of a future WrestleMania sometime soon.

4. Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair

Another long-term story that has developed for Rhea Ripley over the course of her career is with Bianca Belair.

Throughout their rise in the company, Ripley and Belair have been closely associated with each other as the faces of the WWE women’s division.

Running parallel with one another from NXT to the main roster, it has felt like the company is saving the big time showdown between “Mami” and “The E.S.T. of WWE” for a major event.

With Bianca currently on the sidelines after announcing her pregnancy, it could be a number of years before fans see Belair finally collide with Ripley in a WrestleMania main event that has been built over their entire careers.

3. Cody Rhodes vs. CM Punk

Since making his return to WWE in 2023, CM Punk has been positioned as one of the biggest stars in the entire company.

Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes currently stands on top of the promotion as a three-time Undisputed WWE Champion.

Following his first singles WrestleMania main event, Punk was confronted by Rhodes and teased a future matchup between the two friends.

With several significant confrontations since his return, it seems inevitable that Punk will face Cody in a WrestleMania main event, which could happen as soon as next year in Saudi Arabia.

2. Roman Reigns vs. Oba Femi

Another potential WrestleMania 43 headliner that WWE seems to be building is Roman Reigns vs. Oba Femi.

At WWE WrestleMania 42 Night Two, Femi defeated Brock Lesnar in what was the biggest victory of his career.

On the Mania post-show, “The Ruler” made it clear that he had his sights on Reigns’ World Heavyweight Championship.

This could all culminate with Femi winning the Royal Rumble in 2027 and going on to headline WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia against “The OTC.”

1. Roman Reigns vs. The Rock

While there have been reports about WWE potentially discussing Roman Reigns vs. Oba Femi in a WrestleMania main event, the company has also had their minds on another major bout for “The OTC.”

Over the past decade, WWE has teased Reigns facing off with his cousin The Rock in the headline spot of WrestleMania.

With next year’s Mania set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, it seems likely that the company might one of their biggest stars ever to compete inside the squared circle on that night.

The Rock returning to face Roman Reigns would be a fitting main event for the WrestleMania 43 PLE and deliver a star studding headliner that no one would ever forget.
