There has been a lot of talk about future WWE main eventers recently, especially following Roman Reigns’ recent comments.
During an interview with Complex, Reigns named Cody Rhodes as the only other star able to carry the WWE banner.
The knee-jerk reaction when talking about future WWE stars is to mention Oba Femi, who retired Brock Lesnar and won the King of the Ring tournament earlier this year, less than a year into his main roster run.
There are a number of other stars who have been positioned as future world champions in WWE, who could even feud with The Ruler over being the face of the company.
Here are three stars other than Oba Femi who look set to become WWE main event stars.
Trick Williams
With Trick Williams placing one spot higher than Oba Femi in the recently announced PWI 500 ranking, many fans have been reflecting on the US Champion’s run with WWE.
Williams made his pro-wrestling debut with WWE in October 2021, and has since held the NXT, NXT North American, TNA World and WWE US titles.
While Oba Femi has had a monster main roster rookie year, Trick Williams has had a great run since officially joining SmackDown in January, with his US Title reign starting with a victory at WrestleMania 42 over Sami Zayn, the man currently holding the Undisputed WWE Championship.
With Trick Williams being another Performance Center success story, main roster fans will only see more of him moving forward.
Je’Von Evans
While Je’Von Evans has yet to win championship gold since joining WWE, he could realistically break several major title records as a Raw star.
Je’Von Evans previously stated that he’s locked in and focused on becoming the youngest world champion in WWE history, which would require him to win the Undisputed WWE Championship or World Heavyweight Title before September 2028 to beat Randy Orton, who won the World Heavyweight Championship at the age of 24.
Evans also has the opportunity to become the youngest Intercontinental Champion, as a title win before next December would better 23-year old Jeff Hardy’s 2001 accomplishment.
With Evans already being presented as a title contender in Raw’s midcard decision, it’s only a matter of time until the 22 year old is given more prominent roles on WWE TV.
Bron Breakker
Bron Breakker has had an interesting career trajectory in WWE, with many touting him as a future WrestleMania main eventer as far back as his NXT days.
While he has scored huge victories on the main roster over the likes of Seth Rollins, and held the Intercontinental Championship twice, he has yet to fully break into the Raw main event scene as a solo act.
Interestingly, WWE Unreal confirmed previous reports that Bron Breakker at one point was planned to win the men’s Royal Rumble match and challenge for CM Punk’s World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42.
While this ultimately didn’t happen, it feels like it’s only a matter of time until Breakker does become the face of either Raw or SmackDown.
