With AEW Worlds End 2025 fast approaching on Saturday, December 27, there could be some familiar faces from WWE that end up debuting at the event.

From former WWE stars who have made one-off appearances in the past, to others that would be brand new to the AEW audience — there could be some fascinating shake-ups at AEW Worlds End.

Here are six former WWE stars that could debut at AEW Worlds End 2025.

6. Lacey Lane

One former WWE star that reportedly signed a contract with AEW recently is Lacey Lane, formerly known as Kayden Carter in WWE.

While technically she has already made a debut appearance at the Title Tuesday edition of AEW Dynamite back on October 7, she was defeated by Mercedes Moné and has yet to return to AEW competition.

Recently appearing in Ring of Honor however, it could be that Lane makes her official debut as an AEW signing at AEW Worlds End 2025.

Possibly aligning with any number of the dangerous forces in the AEW women’s division, Lane could be the perfect ally for her former foe Moné and Athena, helping them to capture the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship.

5. Shotzi Blackheart

After departing WWE at the end of her contract in May 2025, Shotzi Blackheart has gone on to take indie wrestling by storm once again.

Bringing her unique style and character back to independent wrestling, she has continued to capture attention with her appearances across the country.

Certainly able to join AEW and bring not only a veteran perspective but a unique TV ready character to the mix, Shotzi Blackheart could create her own niche within AEW.

A pair of former WWE stars that have gone on to find acclaim as a tag team together are Bishop Dyer and Donovan Dijak.

The former Baron Corbin and Dijak departed WWE in 2024 and embarked on a new journey across both indie wrestling as well as capturing tag team gold in MLW.

As their name implies, the two towering stars have been dominant in their tag team efforts, but could still bring a brand new spin to their team in AEW.

Potentially joining the ranks in AEW as backup on behalf of MJF in order to ensure his victory for the AEW World Championship — there could be some very big things ahead of The Skyscrapers in AEW.

3. Dakota Kai

One of the more shocking WWE releases in 2025 was Dakota Kai in May.

After being one win away from becoming inaugural WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion at the beginning of the year, Kai’s character abruptly disappeared.

After nearly ten years with WWE, Kai could be a solid pick-up for any company but particularly would bring excellence to AEW.

Able to join forces with any number of women’s stars to recapture her former glory as a title toting Tag Team Champion — having held both the NXT and WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship during her tenure in the company — there could be some interesting new stories ahead in Tony Khan’s company.

2. Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey & Wolfgang)

A trio of departed WWE stars that could certainly join AEW and make a major impact could be Gallus.

With the big combination of Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey & Wolfgang able to take even the biggest of challengers with ease, they could be headed straight for a title shot.

Adding another hard hitting element to AEW, the trio could serve as immediate foes for the current AEW World Trios Champions, The Opps.

With Powerhouse Hobbs, Katsuyori Shibata and HOOK joined together along with AEW World Champion Samoa Joe — perhaps Gallus could be the group to make their impact felt at Worlds End.

1. Beth Copeland

WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix at AEW All Out

After making a brief appearance at AEW All Out 2025, Beth Copeland (formerly known as Beth Phoenix in WWE) ended up taking a Spike Piledriver from FTR.

With Adam Copeland taking time off after the vicious post-match attack, it could be that the husband and wife duo returns with a vengeance at AEW Worlds End 2025.

Reuniting on-screen with Christian Cage, the legendary team could be a special surprise for the now reigning AEW Tag Team Champions FTR.

Since there is not currently an AEW Tag Team Championship match on the card for AEW Worlds End, perhaps Cope and Cage will come knocking soon, with Beth in their corner.
