With WWE on the road to WrestleMania 42, there has to be some internal conversation on who could be inducted into this year’s Hall of Fame class.
While Stephanie McMahon will seemingly headline this year’s class, there are a variety of names who could also receive the honor, including those who made their name in Extreme Championship Wrestling.
Considering the likes of Paul Heyman, Rob Van Dam and The Dudley Boyz have been honored in the past, several ECW legends could follow in their footsteps to be celebrated in the Hall of Fame.
Here are eight ECW legends to be potentially inducted into WWE Hall of Fame 2026.
8. The Sandman
When fans think of the biggest stars in the history of ECW, many bring up The Sandman as one of the promotion’s greatest of all time.
The former five-time ECW World Champion is someone who has created a legacy known for his character work and memorable moments he has delivered throughout the company’s history.
From his iconic beer-drinking Metallica “Enter The Sandman” entrance to legendary feuds with Raven and Tommy Dreamer, The Sandman has delivered time and time again for ECW.
With the recent announcement of his retirement match during WrestleMania 42 weekend for Joey Janela’s Spring Break X, it would make a ton of sense for The Sandman to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame 2026 in Las Vegas.

7. Lance Storm
Lance Storm was someone who did not exactly fit what many fans know ECW for, but he was able to succeed because of it.
The serious technical wrestler act worked in spades for Storm who put his name on the map in ECW during the late 1990s.
This led to Storm becoming a three-time ECW World Tag Team Champion and was part of the popular Impact Players stable with Justin Credible.
Despite only being there for three years, there is no doubt that Storm is worthy of a Hall of Fame induction with his time in Extreme Championship Wrestling and how that parlayed into success in both WCW and WWE.

6. Tommy Dreamer
Speaking of Lance Storm, he currently works behind-the-scenes in TNA Wrestling alongside Tommy Dreamer.
If there is anyone who is synonymous with the legacy of ECW, it is Tommy Dreamer, who was known as the heart and soul of the promotion.
From his signature kendo stick brawls to the rivalry that defined his career with Raven, there is no doubt that Dreamer earned his spot on the Mount Rushmore of Extreme Championship Wrestling.
Being a former ECW World Heavyweight Champion and three-time ECW World Tag Team Champion, “The Innovator of Violence” is more than deserving of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame 2026 for everything he has done for the company.

5. Raven
Going from Tommy Dreamer to his greatest rival, Raven is someone who completely changed the course of his career by heading to ECW.
Becoming the leader of Raven’s Nest and Flock, “The Martyr of Society’s Dysfunction”is someone who was known for his philosophical breakdown of some of the biggest babyfaces in ECW history.
Known for his character work as the cult leader, Raven left ECW fans with a litany of memorable matches, feuds and moments that defined his career in so many ways.
The two-time ECW World Heavyweight Champion went on to have a great deal of success in WWE, WCW and TNA Wrestling, so Raven deserves to be inducted into the Hall of Fame for way more than his contributions in Extreme Championship Wrestling.

4. Rhyno
While many of the names on this list were in ECW for many years, Rhyno is someone who left his mark in the latter half of the company’s history.
Coming into the promotion in February 1999, Rhyno quickly made his presence felt with his intensity and unbridled rage.
Regarded as one of the fastest rising stars in the history of the promotion, “The Man Beast” climbed the ladder in a hurry and became ECW World Television Champion in short order.
Now seeming like he has reached the end of his career, it would be perfect timing for the final ECW World Heavyweight Champion to reach the honor of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame 2026.

Another name that has become known for his time in Extreme Championship Wrestling is New Jack.
Real name Jerome Young, New Jack became known for his curse-laden promos and dangerous style inside the squared circle.
Remembered for his violent battles in the ring with his “Natural Born Killaz” theme, New Jack could lead the way for an ECW wing in the Hall of Fame.
After passing away in 2021, one last honor in the WWE Hall of Fame 2026 would be a fitting way for many fans to always remember New Jack and join the hallowed Halls with many of his peers.

2. Sabu
Another late ECW legend who could enter the WWE Hall of Fame 2026 is Sabu.
In 2025, Sabu took part in the final match of his career against Joey Janela at the Spring Break 9 event in Las Vegas.
With WrestleMania 42 also taking place in Vegas, it would be appropriate to honor Sabu for that match as well as all of his contributions to Extreme Championship Wrestling.
Often mentioned among the elite in ECW history, Sabu has more than earned his spot in the WWE Hall of Fame 2026 in a significant way.

1. Bam Bam Bigelow
To many fans, it might be very surprising to find out that Bam Bam Bigelow is not in the WWE Hall of Fame at the time of this writing.
Not only known for his work in Extreme Championship Wrestling, Bigelow first made himself known in WWE where he put his name on the map.
With memorable runs in WCW and around the world, there is no denying Bigelow’s place in the history books of pro wrestling.
Reinventing himself and helping to create the legacy of ECW, there should be no doubt that Bigelow has earned his place among the greatest of all time in the WWE Hall of Fame 2026.
