With Roman Reigns and CM Punk having a heated feud on WWE Raw, there could be more twists and turns on the road to WrestleMania 42.
From former foes that could get involved to lighthearted fun that could be a break in the tense action, there are some intriguing possibilities for what CM Punk will be getting up to in the next six weeks as WrestleMania looms.
Here are five plans the could be in store for CM Punk on WWE Raw ahead of WrestleMania 42.
5. Taunted By Seth Rollins

While CM Punk has certainly achieved a major feat in the absence of Seth Rollins, the accomplishment came at least in part as a result of Rollins’ injury.
With Rollins forced to vacate the World Heavyweight Championship back in October, Punk would go on to earn his win – but surely Rollins will be swift to point out that he never lost the title.
Making for an amusing call-back to CM Punk’s return to AEW where he declared himself “the Real World Champion”, Rollins could easily target Punk and wage a similar war.
Able to tangle with Punk on the mic in any potential absence of Reigns, Rollins wouldn’t be operating out of any regard for Reigns, but rather his pure hatred for CM Punk.

4. Targeted By Brock Lesnar

With multiple pre-announced visits to WWE Raw from Brock Lesnar kicking off on March 16, Brock Lesnar may be tangling with CM Punk soon.
With the road to WrestleMania not entirely clear for Lesnar, what does remain clear is his allegiance to Paul Heyman.
Although it was Seth Rollins and subsequently LA Knight who participated most in Heyman’s recent beatdown on WWE Raw, it doesn’t mean that Punk will be spared.
Potentially teasing a renewed alliance between the once Wise Man for the Bloodline and Roman Reigns, Punk could find himself at odds with both Lesnar and Reigns in the coming months.

3. Comedy Moments With Danhausen

While the heated rivalry between CM Punk and Roman Reigns continues on WWE Raw, it could be a solid time to add some levity to Punk’s storyline as well.
Able to capture the enjoyable parts of Punk’s personality with his quirky humor, Danhausen has yet to interact on-screen in WWE with the World Heavyweight Champion.
Certainly with plenty of fun nicknames and silly moments that the duo could have, there could be a stark reality that crashes into their good times at some point backstage.
Having a dramatic and violent attack from Roman Reigns on Punk while he’s in the middle of one of his silly shenanigans with Danhausen could ratchet up the drama even more ahead of Las Vegas.

2. Blindsided by Roman Reigns

While Roman Reigns isn’t always announced for his appearances in advance, it could be that CM Punk has to deal with Reigns whenever and wherever.
Potentially looking to rebuff the narrative that he “never comes to work”, there will be more appearances from Roman Reigns on the road to WrestleMania – particularly to torment CM Punk at random intervals.
By attacking him backstage in random places at random times to a good old fashioned home invasion waged by Reigns, it is possible that in bringing up Reigns’ deceased father, CM Punk has unleased a brand new beast.
Able to take things to an entirely new level of crazed violence – versus as an “emotional lady” that Punk has accused him being – Reigns could make it clear that even if it wasn’t before, now this feud is deeply personal.

1. Recruited By The Rock

One path forward to put CM Punk in position to flex his own heelish muscle in WWE would be to go the way of John Cena and find an offer he can’t refuse from The Final Boss.
If there were teases of a potential turn throughout the road to WrestleMania including more mysterious phone calls leading to an surprise appearance most convenient to The Rock’s schedule – an offer could be extended to Punk either on or off screen.
Setting the stage for The Rock versus Roman Reigns to main event WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a dramatic reveal of Punk working with his previous mortal enemy Rock would be a legendary swerve.
Putting Seth Rollins in place to be the babyface in their inevitable future feud over the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, there could be some massive moments over the next few months.
