With three weeks to go until WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, there is still plenty of time for WWE to make changes to the card.
From potential changes to existing matches to bouts that haven’t yet been confirmed, there are still many alterations that could drastically shake up the big event.
Here are six changes that could be coming to the WWE WrestleMania 42 card.
6. Special Guest Referee for Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton

With the rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton continuing to heat up on SmackDown ahead of their Undisputed WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 42, an unknown element has yet to appear.
Since his heel turn Orton has been seen having mysterious backstage phone calls, suggesting that there could very well be a big surprise still ahead for Rhodes.
With the potential to have a major name like The Rock arrive in his “Final Boss” persona as a special guest referee for the match, there could be shenanigans afoot that ultimately see “The Viper” crowned as 15-time WWE Champion.
While there could also be a special guest referee added to the CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns match which would also be a great appearance opportunity for The Rock to show up.
5. Carmelo Hayes Added To Sami Zayn vs. Trick Williams For WWE United States Championship

With movement on the Road to WrestleMania already, there was another big title change on TV on the most recent episode of SmackDown.
After Sami Zayn was able to capture victory and reclaim the WWE United States Championship on SmackDown on March 27, a new match was made for WrestleMania 42.
Trick Williams will be challenging Zayn but there could certainly be at least one more name added to the bout before WWE rolls into Las Vegas for the big event.
With Carmelo Hayes losing his title as a result of interference from his former tag team partner Trick Williams, he certainly has a justified reason to demand a rematch for his lost gold at WrestleMania 42.
4. New Partner For Brie Bella for WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match

With Nikki Bella seemingly injured on this past Friday’s SmackDown, there may need to be a switch-up in an anticipated WrestleMania 42 match.
Since there is plenty of continued conflict between The Bella Twins, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, Lyra Valkyria & Bayley and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax & Lash Legend — there could definitely be a multi-team match in the works.
However after Nikki Bella was spotted being checked on by WWE medical during her match on SmackDown, it could be that there needs to be a substitute to tag with Brie Bella for the big event.
Perhaps bringing about the perfect reason for a surprise return from fellow Total Divas alum Paige aka Saraya during her time in AEW, there could be a great reunion to salvage the bout.

3. Tiffany Stratton vs. Giulia For United States Championship Added

There has yet to be a solid plan revealed for a potential women’s United States title defense at WWE WrestleMania 42.
Still out in the cold so far regarding getting a match booked for the big event in Las Vegas is Tiffany Stratton after a big moment defending her WWE Women’s Championship at last year’s event.
While she has returned to action and had a losing effort against Giulia on the March 27 edition of SmackDown, their feud seems far from over.
Definitely able to be featured at the event, it would make sense to see Giulia and Tiffany Stratton continue to feud before going head-to-head once again, this time at WrestleMania 42 over the US Title.
2. The Usos vs. Austin Theory & Logan Paul For WWE World Tag Team Championship Added

While there has been an on-going feud between The Usos and the last remaining duo representing The Vision, their match for Mania has not been made official.
Instead, the two teams will meet on the March 30 episode of WWE Raw, only unlike their meeting a week prior, this match will be for The Usos WWE World Tag Team Titles and it will be a Street Fight.
While WWE may have other plans for the two teams at WrestleMania 42 – perhaps involving LA Knight – a third match for the titles could play into Jey Uso’s interesting character development.
Potentially driven to the brink of madness by a World Tag Title loss, there could be some compelling character changes as a result of his feud with The Vision, ones that could then bleed into some Jey Uso involvement in CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns.
1. Multi-Man Match For WWE Intercontinental Championship Added

With Penta successfully defending the Intercontinental Championship numerous times already, he could be set for a bigger challenge at WrestleMania 42.
With several key names still not accounted for on the WrestleMania 42 card, it would make total sense to see a multi-man match for the Intercontinental Championship.
Potential contenders to take on the current champion Penta include Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, Rusev or Je’Von Evans to name a few.
Potentially showcasing a number of important mid-card talent from the men’s division, perhaps a big stipulation like a ladder match could end up bringing even more attention to the match.
