Tony Khan once again addressed the lengthy absence of Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. in an interview ahead of last week’s February 4 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Despite being off TV for over a year, the AEW President confirmed that he expects Baker to be back soon.
Baker’s return could change the landscape of All Elite Wrestling in various ways if/when she does show back up, with many potential rivalries, allegiances and storylines on the table.
Here are seven potential Britt Baker AEW return plans.
7. Revenge On Mercedes Moné
Returning to All Elite Wrestling in June 2024, Britt Baker immediately confronted Mercedes Moné.
Challenging “The CEO” for the TBS Championship at AEW All In: London 2024, the battle did not go in Baker’s favor, suffering a key loss quickly upon her comeback to the company.
After this loss to Moné, Baker went on a downslide that led to her eventually being written off television in November 2024.
Upon her return to the promotion, Baker could want to get some revenge on Mercedes Moné who has been going through her own downward spiral over the past few months.

6. Target Willow Nightingale For The AEW TBS Title
Speaking of Mercedes Moné, fans have not seen “The CEO” since suffering some notable losses to Willow Nightingale.
On the December 31 New Year’s Smash edition of AEW Dynamite, Nightingale defeated Moné to win the TBS Championship.
While Baker and Nightingale have met in the past, they have never had a full fledged feud together in AEW.
Baker targeting Nightingale for the TBS Title could finally position two of the biggest female stars to walk into All Elite Wrestling going at it over the prestigious gold.

5. Create A Tag Team With Deonna Purrazzo To Go After The AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships
Britt Baker has been absent from AEW for over a year and in that time, so much has happened within the company.
One of the major additions to All Elite Wrestling has been the introduction of the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships.
Baker coming back to the company could lead to her trying to form a partnership to go after the new titles for the AEW women’s division.
With one of her best friends in wrestling now with the promotion, Baker could create a tag team with Deonna Purrazzo that have what it takes to be a threat to be the next tag champions down the line.

4. Starting Her Own Faction
During her rise in AEW, Britt Baker created her own group around her to help her ascent up the ladder.
Baker first recruited Rebel as her assistant and cornerwoman during some of her biggest matches in the company.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion also joined forces with Jamie Hayter, who became her bodyguard of sorts and helped her in various rivalries when she held the top prize.
Now that she is looking to reestablish herself, it might be time for Baker to assemble a new faction around her that will help her climb to the very top of AEW once again.

3. Reignite Rivalry With Thunder Rosa
One of the greatest rivalries in All Elite Wrestling history may just be Britt Baker vs. Thunder Rosa.
Having one of the most violent battles in AEW, Baker and Rosa put on an instant classic in a Lights Out Match back in 2021.
Right now, Rosa has been on the sidelines recovering from lingering injuries following the AEW All In: Texas 2025 pay-per-view.
Having both of these former AEW Women’s World Champions making their return at the same time could lead to a reigniting of their rivalry when Baker and Rosa are back into the fold.

2. Feud With Jamie Hayter
When Jamie Hayter made her return to All Elite Wrestling in 2021, she aligned herself with Britt Baker as her backup during her AEW Women’s World Championship reign.
Many fans were expecting for their alliance to finally end with a rivalry between the two women.
Despite Hayter being a former AEW Women’s World Champion herself, she has never actually feuded with Baker in a meaningful way during their time in the company.
Baker going after Hayter upon her return could lead to an intense feud between the two that stems off of their history together.

1. Chasing Her Second Reign As AEW Women’s World Champion
While Britt Baker made her return to AEW in June 2024, she went after Mercedes Moné’s TBS Championship instead of the top prize in the women’s division.
Since the company started, Baker has been a centerpiece and someone that has always been seen as a top contender for the AEW Women’s World Champion.
Losing the title after a 290-day reign in 2022, Baker has come close to becoming a two-time champion, but she has never been able to achieve that milestone.
Britt Baker challenging Kris Statlander or Thekla for the AEW Women’s World Championship would be a fresh and intriguing matchup and could see her finally starting her second reign with the gold.
