At AEW All Out 2025, Mark Briscoe defeated MJF to win the Tables N’ Tacks Match, finally picking up a win over his rival.
Since then, Maxwell Jacob Friedman has remained absent from the company’s television and stated that he was going to find that same killer instinct that once made him AEW World Champion.
Looking to create the easiest path possible to the top prize in All Elite Wrestling, MJF could return with a brand new faction, recruiting some stars from the current roster to forge his path back to the gold.
Here are seven AEW stars to potentially join a new MJF faction.
7. FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) w/Stokely Hathaway
In 2021, MJF wanted to create his own stable and turned his back on the Inner Circle to create The Pinnacle.
Consisting of Wardlow, Shawn Spears and FTR, The Pinnacle went to war with the Inner Circle and helped MJF in his rivalry with CM Punk.
However, the faction was short-lived with FTR and MJF going their separate ways without much interaction since then.
Now Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler are aligned with the former AEW World Champion’s self-proclaimed best friend Stokely Hathaway, there could be a connection formed for MJF to bring the new AEW World Tag Team Champions into the fold.

6. Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson)
Since joining All Elite Wrestling after their debut at AEW All In London 2024, The Grizzled Young Veterans have failed to truly find their footing within the company.
Whether it be on AEW or ROH TV, Zack Gibson and James Drake have not solidified themselves as one of the best tag teams in the promotion despite still being capable of delivering quality bouts like they currently do on the indies.
Grizzled Young Veterans might need to find a new path to get a prominent spot on AEW programming and this could come from MJF.
The former AEW World Champion recruiting GYV could see him using their aggressive, hard hitting style to his advantage to take out anyone in MJF’s way.

5. Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen)
Private Party’s status in All Elite Wrestling remains a mystery following their lengthy absence from the company.
After losing the AEW World Tag Team Titles to Hurt Syndicate in January 2025, Private Party have not appeared on AEW TV since then.
Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen have long been one of the most exciting and impressive tag teams in the history of the company.
AEW giving Private Party a shot in the arm by aligning them with top star MJF would be a huge indicator that they intend on re-signing the duo before their contracts expire at the end of 2025.

4. Wardlow
When he first debuted in All Elite Wrestling, Wardlow immediately aligned with Maxwell Jacob Friedman as his bodyguard and muscle.
In what became a master and servant style relationship, Wardlow eventually grew frustrated with his boss and would go on to turn on him in 2022.
This led to the two men mostly going their separate ways after Wardlow destroyed MJF in their only singles match at AEW Double Or Nothing 2022.
The former three-time TNT Champion returning to AEW and reuniting with MJF would be a huge coup and would serve as notice that this new faction is something to be feared.

3. Big Bill
In 2022, Big Bill made his AEW debut alongside MJF as his self appointed new muscle to take out Wardlow.
After failing to defeat Wardlow, MJF and Bill mostly went their separate ways, Bill would go on to become an AEW World Tag Team Champion and align with several stars on the roster, such as Chris Jericho, Ricky Starks and Bryan Keith.
Both Bill and Maxwell Jacob Friedman are from the Long Island area and are familiar with one another from their past connection.
MJF recruiting Bill for his new faction could revive his career and help him to climb the ladder in AEW moving forward.

2. Jeff Jarrett
In early 2025, MJF became embroiled in a feud with WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett on AEW TV. To start the year, Jarrett stated that he planned on becoming the AEW World Champion for this final contract with the company.
This led to MJF getting in his way and putting obstacles ahead of him before Jarrett lost in his attempt to become the number one contender for the title.
Jarrett is a living legend and has so much knowledge in the pro wrestling game that could potentially benefit MJF in his pursuit of the AEW World Title.
Jarrett playing a mentor role in this new faction would give the group a veteran leader who could provide guidance alongside MJF as the leader.

1. Kamille
After being written off AEW television in November 2024, Kamille has not been seen in the company with no signs of her return.
The former NWA World Women’s Champion was once known as one of the most dominant and physically intimidating female stars in wrestling today.
While her run in AEW so far has been a struggle, the company could easily fix this by pairing her up with the right star.
MJF hiring a personal hired gun for his stable who could attack anyone and everyone would put over Kamille and help her to solidify herself in the AEW women’s division long term.
