On July 12 at All In, TBS Champion and Owen Hart Cup winner Mercedes Moné challenges AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm for Storm’s title.
This is the biggest women’s match in the history of the company.
Meanwhile, there have long been rumors that Moné could soon be paired with new allies in AEW, building a new faction around her.
Here are five potential members for a new group led by Mercedes Moné.
5. Kamille

Former NWA Women’s World Champion Kamille has, to date, been Mercedes Moné’s only ally in AEW, acting as her heater.
After being “fired” by Moné, she was written off television last November and has been MIA ever since.
During her short stint on AEW TV, she wasn’t able to showcase the potential she displayed during her standout run in the NWA.
With her contract status unknown, could we soon see Kamille return to AEW and be re-aligned with Moné?

4. The Renegade Twins

Reports around Mercedes Moné potentially gaining new allies in AEW have centered on the Renegade Twins.
The tag team of twin sisters Charlette and Robyn Renegade have mostly appeared on ROH programming, with sporadic use as enhancement talent on AEW TV — including a singles match between Robyn and Moné on March 29.
While Charlette has been out of action since November, the duo possesses significant potential.
Pairing them with Moné could allow them to realize that potential.

3. Queen Aminata

Queen Aminata is a frequently featured performer across both AEW and ROH programming – in ROH she is currently alive in the tournament to crown the first-ever ROH Women’s Pure Champion.
Despite often being booked to lose on AEW, the 32-year-old stands out, exuding charisma.
Her frequent appearances suggest the company sees real potential in her — placing her in a high-profile faction alongside Mercedes Moné could elevate her status within AEW.
A slow-burn story could eventually see her splinter from the group and placed into a top-tier programme with Moné herself.

2. Nyla Rose

Every faction needs a dominant enforcer.
On the AEW women’s roster there is no one more suited to that role than Nyla Rose.
A two-time AEW Women’s World Champion, Rose is a physically imposing presence and a powerhouse in-ring worker.
Absent from AEW programming since December 2024, her return could serve to launch the new Moné faction.

1. Athena

Mercedes Moné and ROH Champion Athena clashed on Dynamite in April in the semi-final of the Owen Hart Cup – with Moné picking up the win.
The dream bout more than lived up to expectations, arguably standing as one of the best women’s matches in Dynamite history.
While there’s plenty of fuel left for a rivalry, the chemistry between the two opens up the possibility of them teaming – especially if AEW pulls the trigger on a women’s tag team division.
Could we finally see Athena get a full-time AEW run and align with Moné as part of a new faction?
