On the February 18 edition of AEW Dynamite, Swerve Strickland defeated Kenny Omega in a first time ever meeting.
Post match, Strickland viciously attacked Omega by hanging over the top rope with a steel chain and delivering a Vertabreaker through the commentary table at ringside.
Now that Swerve has turned heel once again, it feels like things are in place for the former AEW World Champion to assemble a new faction that could help his pursuit of the top prize in All Elite Wrestling.
Here are seven AEW stars to potentially join a new Swerve Strickland heel faction.
7. Tommaso Ciampa
On the January 28 episode of AEW Dynamite, Tommaso Ciampa made his debut in the company and immediately answered the open challenge by TNT Champion Mark Briscoe.
This led to Ciampa defeating Briscoe to win the title on the January 31 AEW Collision. “The Psycho Killer” went on to hold the gold for only 11 days when he lost to Kyle Fletcher on the February 11 edition of Dynamite.
Now that Ciampa finds himself without the title he fought so hard to get when he arrived in the company, fans might see a totally different side of the former WWE star.
Considering his history with Prince Nana from their time in the Embassy back during his ROH days, it would make sense if Ciampa was one of the first stars to be recruited into a potential new version of the stable led by Swerve Strickland in the near future.

6. CRU (Lio Rush & Action Andretti)
Since forming as a duo, CRU has found themselves on the outside looking in for the AEW tag team division.
Lio Rush and Action Andretti are always searching for their next opportunity and usually deliver when inside the squared circle.
Rush is someone who has a friendship with Swerve Strickland outside of the ring that could be highlighted moving forward.
Swerve Strickland recruiting CRU would add some numbers to a potential new version of the Mogul Embassy with Prince Nana in their corner.

5. Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen)
On the February 11 episode of AEW Dynamite, Private Party made their return to the company as the “Wild Card” team in the three-way #1 Contenders Match with The Young Bucks and The Rascalz.
Following a loss in this bout, Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen warned that the fans would be seeing a different side of Private Party.
The former AEW World Tag Team Champions could see a new opportunity for themselves by joining forces with “The Most Dangerous Man” in the company.
Strickland bringing in Private Party could lead Kassidy and Quen back into a prominent spot on AEW TV moving forward.

4. Buddy Matthews
Back at AEW Grand Slam Australia 2025, Buddy Matthews suffered a serious ankle injury in his AEW Continental Championship match against Kazuchika Okada.
After several setbacks in his recovery, it would make sense if Matthews has grown frustrated watching how much has changed within All Elite Wrestling.
While he has been on the sidelines, Matthews’ former tag team partner Brody King has joined forces with Bandido to form Brodido, won the AEW World Tag Team Titles and even challenged MJF for the AEW World Championship at Grand Slam Australia 2026.
Looking for a new role for himself, Buddy Matthews could be another essential addition to a potentially new version of Mogul Embassy with Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana at the helm.

3. Keith Lee
When Swerve Strickland first arrived in All Elite Wrestling back in 2022, he formed one of the most formidable and popular tag teams in the company’s history with Keith Lee.
Known as Swerve In Our Glory, Strickland and Lee captured the AEW World Tag Team Championships and put on a number of memorable bouts against the likes of The Young Bucks, Team Taz and The Acclaimed.
Swerve went on to betray “The Limitless One” with the two men feuding with one another for months following. However, they were never able to go one-on-one with each other.
Considering Lee has been out of action for over two years now, he could find his way back and choose to forgive this new version of Swerve, which may open the door for a reconciliation between the former AEW World Tag Team Champions in a new stable.

2. Will Ospreay
Someone else who has teamed with Swerve Strickland in the past is of course Will Ospreay.
After some stellar encounters against each other, Swerve and Ospreay brought their real life friendship to AEW TV and went on to take down The Young Bucks to dethrone them as EVPs at All In: Texas 2025.
While this partnership did not last long, their friendship spans multiple years with Swerve and Ospreay often being the other’s biggest supporter behind-the-scenes and in interviews.
With Ospreay currently sidelined following neck surgery, “The Aerial Assassin” could embrace this new attitude from Swerve and join forces once again in a new heel faction upon his return to the ring.

1. “Hangman” Adam Page
While they are most known and remembered for this blood feud with one another, “Hangman” Adam Page and Swerve Strickland have found themselves fighting on the same side over the past few months.
With Strickland brutally assaulting Page’s friend Kenny Omega, “The Most Dangerous Man” might find himself at odds with “Hangman” once again.
However, AEW has the chance to subvert expectations and reveal that these two longtime rivals are seeing eye-to-eye on wanting “The Cleaner” out of the picture.
Considering “Hangman” has put his future as AEW World Champion on the line against MJF at AEW Revolution, Page could turn heel following the pay-per-view and join forces with Swerve in a heel faction that is hellbent on destroying everyone in their way.
