Over the past few years, fans have seen the pendulum swing with major AEW stars making the jump to WWE.
Whether it be Cody Rhodes or CM Punk, these legends in All Elite Wrestling have become significant players in WWE today.
Looking at the current AEW roster and those who have left the company, AEW legends could make their way to signing with Tony Khan’s promotion for weeks and months to come.
Here are seven AEW legends to potentially sign with WWE.
7. Chris Jericho

No name has been more mentioned to potentially leave All Elite Wrestling and go on to sign with WWE than Chris Jericho.
After being absent from AEW TV for the majority of 2025, it seems just a matter of time before Jericho leaves Tony Khan’s promotion for good.
Jericho leaving AEW and going on to return to WWE could be inevitable considering the company’s interest in bringing him back for one final run.
Following all these rumors and reports as of late, Jericho returning to WWE could create a domino effect that leads to other AEW stars following suit.

6. Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen)

Back in January 2025, Hurt Syndicate’s Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin defeated Private Party to win the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
Since suffering this loss, Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen have not appeared on AEW television for the rest of 2025.
After reports circulated that WWE has interest to bring in the duo, it would make a world of sense for Private Party to choose to leave AEW when their contract expires at the end of 2025.
With their new and improved physiques, Private Party could make a direct impact on the WWE tag team division upon signing with the promotion in 2026.

5. Billy Gunn

Another recently absent AEW star that could make a return to WWE very soon is Billy Gunn.
The man known as “Daddy Ass” has played several different roles with the company over the past six years since signing with WWE in 2019.
The former AEW World Trios Champion still has something to contribute especially behind the scenes with almost four decades of experience in the business.
WWE would be wise to add Billy Gunn as a backstage producer to bring yet another former DX member to the behind-the-scenes team.

4. Scorpio Sky

Scorpio Sky returned from injury in 2025 and has established a new faction called SkyFlight.
Whether it be in AEW or Ring of Honor, Sky has been trying to reestablish himself on the roster in the singles and trios scene.
The former TNT Champion is someone who has plenty of experience and success that could translate if he chooses to leave All Elite Wrestling when his contract expires in 2026.
Choosing to get his biggest opportunity yet, Scorpio Sky could be in line for a significant push on WWE NXT if he chooses to sign with the company and could even have a reunion with his former SCU teammate Frankie Kazarian, who is TNA World Champion.

3. Jim Ross

Ahead of the premiere of AEW Dynamite in 2019, the company signed WWE Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross.
JR is one of the most legendary commentators in pro wrestling history and has left his mark on All Elite Wrestling by being the voice behind some of the biggest moments in company history.
With his recent comments pointing towards his eventual retirement, Ross could be on his way to leaving AEW and heading back to WWE.
Ross has an iconic voice that would bring credibility and nostalgia to the current landscape of WWE upon his return to the company.

2. Thunder Rosa

Following AEW All In: Texas 2025, Thunder Rosa took some time off to recover from lingering injuries.
While she is expected to make her return to AEW, there could be some tough decisions to be made about her future.
After revealing her desire to face some of WWE’s top stars, it would not be that surprising to see Rosa make the jump from AEW at some point down the line.
Thunder Rosa leaving AEW to sign with WWE could see her become a prominent player in the women’s division regardless of which brand she joins upon signing.

1. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.

Another AEW star who has long been mentioned as a potential WWE signee is Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion was one of the first homegrown stars created in the company.
Considering Baker has been in the headlines over the past few months, it seems almost inevitable that she will eventually leave AEW to join the WWE roster at some point.
With her charisma and impressive mic skills, Baker could add so much to the WWE women’s division and clash with the top talent currently signed, such as Bayley, Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch.
