The AEW tag team division has received a boost in recent months with the addition of quite a few notable pairings.
From The New Level to The Motor City Machine Guns, these new signings have given the entire tag team scene a major spotlight.
This could open the door for more duos to come together and make a significant impact on the company moving forward.
Here are three new AEW tag teams potentially coming soon.
The Opps (HOOK & Action Andretti)
After weeks of teaming up with one another, Action Andretti officially joined The Opps when the stable helped him win the Ring of Honor World Television Championship from “Blackheart” Lio Rush at ROH Death Before Dishonor 2026.
Since then, Andretti has been aligned with HOOK, Katsuyori Shibata, Anthony Bowens and Samoa Joe.
However, AEW fans have not seen The Opps truly etch their name in the pack for the tag team division.
The Opps being represented by Andretti and HOOK could help them garner more attention in AEW in the near future.
Zayda Steel & Red Velvet
Over in Ring of Honor, Red Velvet has had several different tag team partners during her time there.
Whether it be Queen Aminata or The Baddies, Velvet has had various allies that she has found success with in ROH and AEW.
As of late, Red has started to team with Zayda Steel in tag team action and picked up several victories.
Velvet bringing this pairing with Steel to AEW could lead to the current ROH Women’s World TV Champion becoming a double champion by capturing the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships down the line.
Hologram & El Clon
Hologram has been out of action since late 2025 after suffering a serious knee injury that required surgery.
With him being on the sidelines for over a year now, Hologram could be on the mend and potentially making her way back to in-ring competition at some point.
Before his injury layoff, AEW introduced Hologram’s clon in El Clon, who quickly joined The Don Callis Family.
While he was last seen alongside the DCF, Clon might be the best option to pair up with Hologram and make for a formidable duo who could take the AEW tag team division by storm in no time.
